YouTuber arrested for killing rival & wife on stream claims shooting was self-defense

YouTuber Sin City Manny has been arrested after shooting his rival ‘Finny Da Legend’ and his wife during a Vegas stream.
On June 8, YouTuber Finny Da Legend was filming outside the Bellagio Hotel on the Las Vegas strip when shots rang out.
In a terrifying video of the broadcast, Rodney ‘Finny’ Finley and his wife, Tanisha Finley, were outside the hotel when a man in a white hat and sunglasses fired multiple shots at them, as per Channel2Now.
“Are you f**king kidding me!” a woman screamed before more shots rang out. Eventually, a police officer picked up the camera and ended the broadcast.
Two dead after YouTube beef ends in Vegas shooting
At a press conference, Undersherriff Andrew Walsh said that police “immediately ran towards the gunfire” where they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
He added that the police believe this was an isolated incident and efforts were being made to apprehend the shooter.
“At this point, we believe we have the suspect identified and that this is an isolated incident, knowing that the suspect and the victim had previously engaged in some type of conflict using a variety of social media platforms,” he explained.
The two had reportedly been competing to become bigger content creators and their feud escalated when copyright strikes were issued.
The shooting came as fellow YouTuber Sin City Family, also known as SinCity-MannyWise, allegedly posted a video of himself driving through Vegas looking for a “friend” and his “baby.”
The coroner’s office later determined that Rodney Finley died of multiple gunshot wounds while Tanisha Finley died of two gunshot wounds to the head.
Hours after the shooting, NBC reported that Sin City Family was arrested. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, 41-year-old Manuel Ruiz walked into the police station and turned himself in.

The Review Journal reports that when Ruiz turned himself in, he claimed he acted in self-defense, alleging that Tanisha Finley danced in his face while Rodney reached into his waistband and asked, “What’s up, cuz?”
“He insisted that he did not know Finny and his girl were livestreaming from that location,” he said, according to the report. “He denied ever making threats towards Finny.”
However, the police say that the stream “clearly” showed Ruiz advancing toward Finny while shooting.
This isn’t the first time an influencer has been shot dead during a live broadcast. Earlier this year, 23-year-old TikToker Valeria Márquez was killed after an assassin showed up at her nail salon.
