UK YouTuber Yung Filly breaks silence after pleading not guilty to sexual assault charges

Prominent UK YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly has pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual assault filed against him during his 2024 Australia tour.
29-year-old Barrientos kicked off his Australia tour on September 27, 2024, at the Bar1 nightclub in Perth. The tour was scheduled to go through October 6, where it would end at the Gold Coast’s Promiseland music festival.
In early October, a woman in her 20s filed a report with the Western Australia Police, alleging she had been sexually assaulted in the rapper’s hotel room hours after his opening show at Bar1 on September 27.
Barrientos was extradited from Queensland to Perth, where his lawyer was able to get him out on bail at the Perth Magistrates Court on October 10.
Since then, Filly has come under additional legal scrutiny, even facing potential jail time after being caught speeding at 159kph – just under 100mph — in a 100kph (62mph) zone.
His car was impounded as a result while he awaited trial for the sexual assault charges against him… and months later, he has finally appeared in court.

It will be another few months before the rapper appears in court again on June 13, 2025.

Instead, the rapper merely gave a cheerful greeting to the reporters and quickly headed into a car.
“Good afternoon,” Filly said. “Enjoy the weather man, it’s a lovely day!”
In the meantime, Yung Filly remains out on bail, under strict conditions and an additional 100,000 Australian dollars ($62,984.50 USD).
The initial news of Barrientos’ sexual assault charges rocked the UK YouTube community in late 2024, leaving his friends stunned.
The charges resulted in the cancelation of Filly’s live show with collaborator Chunkz, and most of his comrades distanced themselves while saying they would await a “final verdict” to share their thoughts on the subject.
