MrBeast wants to pay fans to lose weight after spending $5.5M on previous fitness video

MrBeast looking into the camera

Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has revealed plans for another extreme fitness challenge just two months after releasing his viral weight loss experiment featuring Majd.

In June, the YouTuber uploaded a video where Majd spent six months locked inside MrBeast’s custom-built gym.

Over the course of the challenge, he lost 100 pounds and walked away with a $417,650 prize. The project nearly didn’t make it online after the trainer involved, Coach Wall, died during filming, but the video has since racked up millions of views.

Now, MrBeast says he’s preparing something similar. In a video posted to his MrBeast 2 channel on August 17, he told viewers that they can comment on the upload for a chance to be included in the upcoming project.

MrBeast’s next experiment

While details remain scarce, the YouTuber has framed the new challenge as a follow-up to Majd’s transformation. In the video, Majd asked MrBeast a series of questions regarding his video and if Donaldson would be interested in doing it again.

“Yeah, actually we are,” Jimmy said. “Leave a comment down below if you wanna be in a video like Majd. I can’t spoil it, but yeah, I’m interested in doing another thing similar.

Earlier in the video, Majd asked how much MrBeast spent on his fitness video, prompting him to reveal that the total cost was around $5,500,000.

It consisted of $2 million to build the set and $1.2 million to pay for the crew hired specifically for the video, as well as the regular MrBeast team. Those things, paired with the $400K given to Majd, made the video skyrocket in cost.
