YouTube star IShowSpeed is once again undergoing surgery on his right eye nearly two years after it swelled during his trip to Japan in 2023.
Fans are wishing the streamer a ‘speedy’ recovery as he prepares for another major operation, which viewers say is in relation to a series of cluster headaches he experienced in 2023.
In July of that year, Speed was traveling in Japan when his right eye began to swell, an event that was quickly followed by an intense headache.
According to Speed, he felt like someone was “stabbing him with a knife,” and he was rushed to the hospital to receive treatment.

Later, it was discovered that Speed was experiencing a severe sinus infection, which one of his friends claimed could have caused him to permanently lose his vision.
Luckily, Speed’s eye emerged unscathed, and he even reached a major YouTube subscriber milestone while recovering in the hospital as crowds of his Japanese fans gathered outside the building to cheer him on.
The incident left Speed shaken, and the YouTuber said the pain was so bad that he’d considered ending his own life to be rid of it.
“Y’all don’t even know the pain I went through, bro. Y’all don’t know what the hell I went through, bro,” he said in an update video.
“Bro, I almost f**cking died. I almost jumped off of a f**cking building, chat. I was this close to jumping off of a Japanese building. And I’m not trolling, bro. I’m being deadass. I swear on my life, bro. It was that freaking bad, bro.”
At the time of writing, little else is known about Speed’s current hospitalization, leaving fans sending their well wishes online until more is revealed.
