Details about WoW’s upcoming 11.1.5 patch have gone live, outlining new content that includes Nightfall Scenarios, the Dastardly Duos event, and much more.
The 11.1.5 patch will hit World of Warcraft‘s Public Test Realm (PTR) soon, bringing with it significant UI changes, brand-new events, and the return of Horrific Visions.
11.1.5’s full release will mark the next major update scheduled on the WoW 2025 roadmap, with Blizzard having already rolled out Siren Isle and Undermine(d) content.
The latter launched on February 25 and introduced the new Undermine zone, class changes, fresh Delves content, and an expansion of the Xal’atath story. While 11.1.5 won’t prove as extensive, it’ll still provide plenty for WoW players to explore.
World of Warcraft Patch 11.1.5 preview
On its website, Blizzard released a preview of what players can expect once the 11.1.5 update hits the PTR.
In addition to the previously teased Nightfall content, WoW fans can also look forward to a six-week event coming later in the patch cycle.
Here’s the full rundown of what the Warcraft team has in store.
Nightfall Scenario
This new public scenario will introduce Flame’s Radiance, a faction players will join in arms in a fight to defend the Arathi against the Sureki across Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet.
In progressing through the scenario’s quests and activities, users will earn up to 10 levels of Renown, all while unlocking new rewards like armor sets, weapons, a new color variation of the Delver’s Dirigible, and a tabard that transforms based on progression.

Dastardly Duos
On an unspecified date later in the patch cycle, Dastardly Duos will arrive as a six-week event available in three different hubs – Dornogal, Orgrimmar, and Stormwind.
Players who join in will receive rewards that include cosmetic gear, toys, and dungeon items based on the boss encounters.
As for the bosses themselves, Dastardly Duos will see players face off against “animatronic versions” of old bosses in an attempt to rack up high scores. The first week will drop four bosses into the event, with each week adding new battles until there are 10 total.
Horrific Visions
The Battle for Azeroth feature returns, allowing WoW fans to revisit corrupted versions of Orgrimmar and Stormwind. Both locations will offer challenges and objectives, which players can either complete solo or with allies.
Notably, solo players in need of a helping hand will have the option to bring in a Construct of Soridormi companion who can DPS, Tank, or Heal.
Horrific Visions Masks make their grand return as well, with Blizzard confirming all of the following: Mask of Pain, Mask of Dark Imagination, Mask of the Long Night, Mask of the Burned Bridge, and Mask of the Daredevil. Three new masks will also feature, though the details remain under wraps.
What’s more, Blizzard is introducing a new currency called Displaced Corrupted Mementos that can be spent at the vendor to unlock previous rewards. Meanwhile, players can earn new rewards in Horrific Visions such as toys, mounts, transmogs, and weapon enchantments.
UI Update
Lastly, Blizzard confirmed plans to release a Cooldown Manager for the UI, which will let users “better track class ability cooldowns.” This addition will be customizable through the UI’s edit mode.
As of writing, Blizzard hasn’t confirmed when 11.1.5 will hit the PTR. However, as the first update scheduled on WoW’s spring 2025 content roadmap, it should arrive sooner rather than later.
