How to unlock King Boo
King Boo is unlocked by completing the Leaf Cup in the Grand Prix mode. You don’t need a podium finish to unlock him, just complete the Grand Prix Cup.

Best Kart
King Boo’s best Kart is the Blastronaut III, due to its really even stat spread when using the ghostly character.
Featuring an equal distribution of Speed, Acceleration, and Weight at 2.2 each out of a maximum of 4, it’s a great choice for loads of different tracks. Its only let down is in its Handling stat of 1.4, but if you’re using Smart Steering, this is much less of a reason to steer clear of using it.
