Black Ops 7 launches with the biggest round-based Zombies map ever, alongside smaller Survival maps to be released through seasonal updates.
Main Map
Following the Black Ops 6 Zombies’ conclusion with Reckoning, the crew now appears to be trapped in the Dark Aether. They’re trapped in a “Bermuda Triangle-like hellscape — where the fog never lifts, the shadows breathe, and the dead don’t rest.”
This “vast and foreboding landscape” is filled with “eerie and forgotten locations offering a multitude of threats, secrets, and storylines with horrors around almost every corner.”
Black Ops 7’s directors took inspiration from Tranzit for the first Zombies map, with six unique locations spread across it. Black Ops 2 fans will recognize one of these as Farm, which makes a welcome return 13 years after it first launched.
Each location has its own unique story, and to get to them, Zombies introduces the Wonder Vehicle, which can be used to navigate the giant map. Don’t spend too long in the areas between these locations, though, as they’re very deadly.
Survival Maps
The six locations from the main map will also be released as Survival maps, smaller, round-based areas that don’t feature a quest. Instead, this will be classic Zombies—survive as long as you can as hordes of Zombies try to break down your defences and take you out.
These will be released as part of seasonal updates.
