Co-Op Campaign explained
Black Ops 7’s campaign will still feel familiar to Call of Duty fans, but features a few unique wrinkles that set it apart from its predecessors.
Co-Op Campaign
Only two games in COD history have had a Co-Op Campaign: World at War and Black Ops 3. Now, for the first time in a decade, Black Ops 7 will let up to four players work together to progress through the story together.
Co-Op Endgame
The tag team fun doesn’t end when the story does. New to Call of Duty, Black Ops 7 features the Co-Op Endgame. An endless session of 1-32 players, you will enter a brand-new PVE (Player vs. Environment) mode that opens up the fictional setting of Avalon in its entirety.
You’ll deploy with a wingsuit so you can explore the landscape, where you and your squad are tasked with shutting down Guild activities across the region. You’ll also be able to improve your character throughout the mode with the new Power Journey, with special abilities to make taking down Guild enemies easier.
Campaign story
In the year 2035, the world is on the brink of all-out warfare after the return of Raul Menendez. The Guild, a private company owned by Emma Kagan, promises that her robots can prevent collapse and protect the world.
David ‘Section’ Mason and his elite Joint Special Operations Command team head to Avalon, looking for answers about The Guild, and what Kagan’s plans really are. It’s here that they uncover a terrifying weapon that turns fear into a dangerous weapon.
Battling their own memories, hallucinations, and paranoia, Mason and his team need to learn the truth about the return of Menendez, and what The Guild’s weapon could do on a global scale before it’s too late.
When is the campaign set?
Black Ops 7’s Campaign is set in 2025, 10 years after the events of Black Ops 2, and 44 years after the conclusion of Black Ops 6’s story.
This story stands alone, so you don’t need to have completed previous Black Ops games to enjoy this one, but there are some familiar faces in the cast of characters.
