How to turn off crossplay
Battlefield 6 comes with full crossplay, letting you play with your friends no matter whether they play on PlayStation 5, Xbox, or PC.
However, you might want to turn crossplay off so you’re only matched with players on the same platform as you, and here’s how.
How to disable crossplay
- Launch Battlefield 6.
- Head to ‘Settings.’
- Click on ‘System.’
- Under Setup, turn the ‘Cross-Play’ option Off.
- If you want to turn it back on, just repeat these steps.

Can you turn off crossplay on PC?
No, there’s no option for PC players to turn off crossplay. This means it’s a console-only setting, so there’s no way to only have PC players in your lobby.
How does crossplay work in Battlefield 6?
Battlefield 6 prioritizes matchmaking console players with each other. This means if crossplay is on, they’ll try to match you with other console users, regardless of whether it’s PS5 or Xbox, before resorting to crossplay to find PC players to fill the remaining spots.
Then, if there still aren’t enough players to fill a lobby, bots will take up the remaining spaces. So, if you disable crossplay, you increase the chances of getting bots in your lobbies.
