Best weapons & loadouts
Battlefield 6 has a varied selection of 15 weapons to choose from in its Open Beta. Still, no matter which class you play as, some weapons are better than others.
We’ve had several hours with beta across its two weekends, testing out a variety of weapons. The good news is, almost every Battlefield 6 weapon is viable. However, there will always be a meta, so we’ve picked out ten devastatingly powerful choices for you to use and the best loadouts for them.
Best weapon loadouts in Battlefield 6
10. PW7A2

- Muzzle: Long Suppressor
- Barrel: 180mm Standard
- Underbarrel: 6H64 Vertical
- Magazine: 40RND Magazine
- Ammunition: Full Metal Jacket
- Scope: Iron Sights
Fast-firing at 950 RPM, the PW7A2 looks like an SMG dream. It’s accurate, has great hip-fire, and is easy to handle, but its six-bullet minimum to kill means its time to kill can’t quite compete with the top-tier picks. Still, in tight corridors and close flanks, it’s a fun, viable option.
9. M433

- Muzzle: Compensated Break
- Barrel: 16.5″ Rifle
- Underbarrel: 6H64 Vertical
- Magazine: 40RND Magazine
- Ammunition: Full Metal Jacket
- Scope: SU-123 1.25x
The M433 is the first Assault Rifle you unlock and is still one of the best. It four shots to the body up to 20 meters and stays incredibly accurate even beyond that. It’s versatile, beginner-friendly, and lethal in the hands of veterans.
8. B36A4

- Muzzle: CQB Suppressor
- Barrel: 510mm Fluted
- Underbarrel: 6H64 Vertical
- Magazine: 30RND Drum Mag
- Ammunition: Soft Point
- Scope: ST PRISIM 2.50X
The B36A4 has essentially no recoil, great range, and solid damage that makes it effective up close or at a distance. It’s a solid jack-of-all-trades gun that suits all manner of playstyles and skill levels.
7. KTS100 Mk8

- Muzzle: Shortened Suppressor
- Barrel: 508mm Mk8
- Underbarrel: 6H64 Vertical
- Magazine: 60RND Drum Mag
- Ammunition: Full Metal Jacket
- Scope: ST PRISIM 2.50X
- Right: 5 MW Red
LMGs are still flying under the radar in favor of Carbines, Assault Rifles, and SMGs, but don’t sleep on the KTS100 Mk8. With respectable damage, a large default mag size, and almost no recoil, you’ll have absolutely no trouble landing your shots, making it the perfect counter to snipers.
It’s also not as bulky as you’d expect an LMG to be, but make sure you use it with the Support class to avoid the sprint speed penalty.
6. M2010 ESR

- Muzzle: Flash Hider
- Barrel: 26″ Carbon
- Underbarrel: Low-Profile Stubby
- Magazine: 5RND Magazine
- Ammunition: Tungsten Core
- Ergonomics: DLC Bolt
- Scope: S-VPS 6.00x
- Right: Range Finder
The M2010 ESR Sniper Rifle is the only Sniper Rifle in Battlefield 6’s beta, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth your time. It’s the number-one weapon to use at long range, thanks to its ability to one-shot headshot.
It’s also easy to use with high bullet velocity, making it extremely deadly in the right hands. If you want to play the Recon class, there’s simply no better option.
5. M4A1

- Muzzle: Compensated Break
- Barrel: 14.5″ Carbine
- Underbarrel: 6H64Vertical
- Magazine: 36RND Magazine
- Ammunition: Full Metal Jacket
- Ergonomics: Improved Mag Catch
- Scope: SU-123 1.25x
Stick with the M4A1, as once you start unlocking attachments that control its recoil, it becomes one of (some argue the) best guns in the game.
It fires at a blistering 900 RPM and melts enemies within 10 meters, becoming one of the most deadly guns at close range. Combine that with its high mobility and power at medium range, and you’ll be able to go toe-to-toe with any gun at almost any range.
4. SGX

- Muzzle: Compensated Break
- Barrel: 8″ Extended
- Underbarrel: 6H64 Vertical
- Magazine: 36RND Magazine
- Ammunition: Soft Point
- Scope: Iron Sights
If you want a close-range SMG to get up in enemies’ faces with, look no further than the SGX. Time to kill is king in Battlefield 6, and the SGX deletes enemies so fast you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re playing Hardcore mode.
It’s strong at medium range too, thanks to its low recoil and forgiving fire rate. Plus, if you use it with the Engineer class, you’ll get a big bonus to hip-fire accuracy, making it even easier to take down enemies up close.
3. NVO-228E

- Muzzle: Compensated Break
- Barrel: 409mm Standard
- Underbarrel: Classic Vertical
- Magazine: 40RND Magazine
- Ammunition: Full Metal Jacket
- Scope: SU-123 1.25x
Assault Rifles have quickly proved deadly in Battlefield 6, and the NVO-228E is the best one so far. What makes it so effective is its damage, as you’ll be gunning down whole squads before they have any time to react.
You’ll need to use it for a while to unlock the best attachments to keep it under control, but once you have them, you’ll be taking down enemies with ease, no matter how far away they are.
2. AK-205

- Muzzle: CQB Suppressor
- Barrel: 314mm Fluted
- Underbarrel: 6H64 Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: 30RND Fast Mag
- Ammunition: Full Metal Jacket
- Scope: ST Prisim 2.50x
If you’re looking for a low-recoil rifle that’s powerful at every range, look no further than the AK-205 Carbine.
Not only does it kill fast, but recoil is almost non-existent with the right setup, letting you land shots at medium range with ease. This makes it absolutely devastating in the right hands and makes for the perfect large weapon.
1. M87A1

- Muzzle: CQB Suppressor
- Barrel: 20″ Factory
- Underbarrel: Ribbed Stubby
- Magazine: 7 Shell Tube
- Ammunition: Buckshot
- Scope: Iron Sights
- Top: 5 MW Green
The M87A1 Shotgun is the best weapon in Battlefield 6 simply because its close-range damage is unmatched.
It kills in one shot to the body from a surprisingly forgiving range, meaning as long as you hit your shots, you’re almost guaranteed to win the close-range fight. It’s no slouch at close-medium range either, being able to two-shot kill from surprisingly far away.
If any gun will be nerfed ahead of launch, it’ll be the M87A1, so use this devastatingly OP Shotgun while you can. Plus, if you play the Assault class, you can use it alongside the NVO-228E for the best of both worlds.
Note: This page is a work in progress, so we’ll update it with more of the best weapons once we’ve had more time with the game.
