Best Recon class setup
Intel is everything in Battlefield 6, and not only does the Recon class excel at long-range with precision sniping, but it also provides tons of information for your team.
You can sneak behind enemy lines, plant a Deploy Beacon, blow up their tanks with C4, all while live-pinging any enemy you aim at.
Best Recon weapons & gadgets in BF6

Primary Weapon: M2010 ESR (Sniper Rifle)
The Recon is best with a Sniper in hand, and at least in the Beta, there’s nothing better than the M2010 ESR for some bolt-action firepower.
Shots to the upper torso or head can be lethal, but even just tagging an enemy is often enough for allies to finish them off at closer range.
Secondary Weapon: P18 Sidearm
Seeing as you’ll be sniping for the vast majority of your time in the Recon role, the P18 Sidearm is really just a last resort. If an enemy sneaks up and gets a little too close for comfort, swap out and quickly knock them down with a few pistol shots. Plus, it’s great for when you land a close-range body shot with your sniper and need to finish the kill.
Gadget 1: Demolition Charge
If you’re a particularly good sniper, it won’t be long before enemies are using vehicles to try to get to your position. Whether you’re on top of a hill or looking through a building, vehicles will try to put a stop to your mayhem.
Thankfully, that’s where Demolition Charges come in, letting you booby trap an area or even just react on the fly and explode incoming vehicles.
Gadget 2: Deploy Beacon
While the Deploy Beacon was originally part of the Assault class, the Beta swapped it over to the Recon class, and for good reason. Now, you can have your squadmates respawn on your position just once, and if you respawn on the Beacon, it’s instantly disabled.
This makes every respawn that much more significant, especially if you’re in a great vantage point swinging the match in your team’s favor. Do bear in mind that it emits a sound, however, so don’t place it too close to any enemy holdouts as they’ll likely camp and wait for some easy kills.
Throwable: Frag Grenade
The Frag Grenade is a clear choice for further bolstering damage potential when vehicles approach. Don’t expect too much from this throwable, but it could just be the last bit of impact you need to survive in an advantageous spot on the map.
