Valorant fans have been delighted as Riot Games have confirmed a new nerf for Tejo is coming in patch 10.04.
At the start of 2025, Riot Games shook up the Valorant meta by introducing Tejo. The Initiator, who is Colombian, has some devastating abilities – including his Armageddon Ultimate and the Guided Salvo.
It is the Guided Salvo that has created some issues for players, especially those who main Killjoy. The targeting system allows for these rockets to be placed like a Clove smoke, but instead of some clouds being formed, rockets rain down on an area causing 70 damage every 0.5 seconds.
Many Killjoy mains pointed out that his rockets have been able to deal damage to her Lockdown ultimate, comparing it to Breach’s Aftershock.
Tejo nerfed again in Valorant 10.04 update
They had hoped for nerfs in the 10.01 update patch to address this issue, but wasn’t the case. However, when the 10.04 update rolls around, Tejo will be nerfed again.
The nerf was revealed during the end of Masters Bangkok on March 2, with the damage being decreased from 70 to 65 and it can no longer destroy the Killjoy ultimate. That is all on top of only dealing 50% damage to objects.
“Honestly, all of those changes seem pretty good,” one fan said. “It should never have… I absolutely hate that it took this long. Tactic and gameplay wise it made zero sense,” another added. “Finally it’s possible to play KJ again,” said another.
Others claimed that the nerfs haven’t gone far enough and that there are further tweaks that Tejo needs. “65 is still crazy damage,” one argued. “Honestly I thought Tejo signature would have gotten more nerfs than that,” another added.
The 10.04 patch is set to include further updates to Valorant, including the addition of Waylay – another duelist. Oh, and there are some map changes for Ascent.
