Valorant map pool: All maps in current rotation & patch 10.04 changes

Valorant map pool in 2025.

Valorant features a rotating map pool, with Riot Games limiting the number of playable levels to keep the gameplay fresh. Here is every map in the current rotation following the 10.00 update released at the start of 2025, and all the upcoming changes in the next patch.

The Valorant map pool has been updated with each Episode since Episode 5. While the game features 11 maps, only seven are included in the rotation for Ranked play and esports competitions.

This selection always sparks ongoing debate within the community over which maps are the best and deserve a spot. See all of them outlined below.

Here’s the current active map pool rotation in Valorant:

  • Pearl
  • Split
  • Bind
  • Haven
  • Abyss
  • Fracture
  • Lotus

Riot announced on November 22, 2024, that Ascent and Sunset would be removed from the map pool, with Fracture and Lotus rejoining for patch 10.00. The update went live on January 7 as part of Act 1 for Season 2025.

This list of maps has been eternally controversial in the Valorant community, as fans have been calling for the removal and improvement of maps such as Ascent for a long time. This time around, they finally got their wish.

What is the next Valorant map pool?

  • Icebox Valorant map.

The map rotation on this patch will be as follows when that patch arrives in 2025:

  • Pearl
  • Split
  • Bind
  • Haven
  • Abyss
  • Fracture
  • Lotus

In the next patch, 10.04, scheduled for release on March 4, 2025, as part of Season 2025: Act 2, Riot will add Icebox and Ascent back to the map pool, while removing Bind and Abyss.

However, this has left many players puzzled, as Abyss, considered one of the most disliked maps, is making a return, while the fan-favorite Bind is being removed.

Why does Riot Games rotate the Valorant map pool?

Riot does this for various reasons. It gives fans a chance to learn every map without it feeling daunting as learning just seven instead of 11 to start should be much easier.

The developer also takes maps out of the rotation to give level designers some time to tweak them and improve the player experience, whether than be from internal changes or those driven by player feedback in the community.

The Valorant map list for Ranked play and esports competitions is separate from the map rotation in other game modes like Spike Rush or Deathmatch, where all maps are available. Other modes, such as Team Deathmatch, also feature their own set of maps distinct from the competitive rotation.
