Valkyrae hits back at claims staff ‘didn’t do enough’ during stream sniper attack

Valkyrae has hit back at claims her staff ‘didn’t do enough’ after a stream sniper threatened to kill her, Emiru, and Cinna, while IRL streaming.

During their March 2 stream together, Cinna and Valkyrae were IRL streaming with Emiru when they were approached by a man who demanded they give him their phone numbers.

The man was denied by the Twitch stars which led to him threatening to kill them after lunging towards the trio. Rae, Emiru, and Cinna called for help as they ran away from the situation, and ultimately canceled the week-long marathon stream a day early.

After news of the incident went viral on social media, some began claiming the trio’s staff – Rosie and Emily – didn’t do enough to protect the streamers during the situation. However, Valkyrae took to a post on X to hit back at these claims.

Valkyrae says staff “did their best”

“Honestly f**k all of you for blaming our employees for “not doing enough”. Our team worked so hard to help us with this marathon and did their best for being put on the spot,” she said to start off the post.

She went on to explain that the interaction shows the “harsh reality” women live in, and emphasized that they will be even more cautious and safe in the future.

“No means no. You’re not entitled to anybody. The fact that this man threatened our lives after being rejected while we were in a group, in public, and live on stream just shows the harsh reality women live in. This happens off-camera to women all the time.

“The clip doesn’t show the rest of what happened after we cut the camera, but I feel what was shown was important to witness. I’m so relieved we are alive and will be even more cautious and safe in the future.”

Cinna responded to Rae’s post to share her thoughts, revealing that the rest of the altercation was “even more horrifying.”

“Love you Rae and f**k anyone saying this sh*t is fake or Rosii or Emily didn’t do enough,” she said. “When your lives are threatened you go into fight or flight. We did that and screamed for help. The clip shows about 50% of the altercation and the other half was even more horrifying.

“Rosii and Emily aren’t security and risked their lives to get between him and us. Rosii pushed him and Emily confronted him to stop it. We did what we thought was right while someone was threatening our lives.”

The two went live on Twitch to address the situation as well, and revealed that they are “investing everything” into trying to find the guy who attacked them on stream.

This happened the same night that Kick star Amouranth was robbed at gunpoint inside her own house, which led to her shooting one of the masked men.
