NetflixIn You Season 5 Episode 6, ‘The Dark Face of Love’, we meet Detective Marquez, who just so happens to be played by Nava Mau – the breakout star of Baby Reindeer.
It’s been just over a year since the runaway success of Richard Gadd’s drama series, when Mau received heaps of praise for her compelling performance as Teri, a therapist and the love interest of Gadd’s Donny.
While she’d already proved her acting talents in the viral Netflix show, Mau demonstrates her range as Detective Marquez, a totally different kind of character and one who brings Bronte in for questioning after an incident involving Joe.
Eagle-eyed fans who spotted her in You Season 5 have shared their excitement, with one writing on X/Twitter, “Aaahhh Nava Mau is here as the detective!”
Another commented, “Best parts of Netflix’s You: Marianne’s speech and Nava Mau (I wish she had a bigger role, but what can you do).”
