Where the first six episodes took us for a dance around Hope Valley, the second half is set to be much more serious. Residents are getting ill, the Garrison gang is making its next move, and Fiona seems to have left town for good.
But this isn’t even the worst of it. When Calls the Heart is soon set to feature an “intense” storyline that will “shatter” the town, while youngsters Allie and Oliver have to fend off McGinty, who is spearheading the Cattlemens Association against them.
There’s a silver lining in all this, though. The binge-worthy TV show may be getting darker, but it’s finally set to reveal the truth to a mystery that’s really been bugging us.
Ava’s real identity will be revealed in When Calls the Heart Season 12
When Calls the Heart Season 12 Episode 9 will see Rosemary try to uncover Ava’s real identity, which has already been seen as suspicious since she first stepped foot in Hope Valley.
HallmarkA recent addition to the cast, Ava arrived in town claiming to be an heiress. In fact, her story was exactly like Elizabeth’s on first arrival. She had her luggage snatched as soon as she got off the train, she claims to be a heiress, and wants to be a teacher once she’s settled.
Regardless, this backstory soon started to crumble. Ava started working at the saloon, trying her best to be included in Rosemary’s production of The Importance of Being Earnest (much to Rosemary’s dismay). Through this, her bills begin to pile up.
She’s running up an expensive tab, leaving Lee and Mike to think they can’t afford her. Rosemary agrees, picking holes in Ava’s alleged story of being an heiress. Surely parents who are supposedly traveling the world can afford for their daughter not to be a barmaid?
Clearly Ava isn’t who she says she is, but we’ve currently got no clues for what her motives or real identity actually is. There’s a chance she could be a moll for the Garrison gang, given we’ve also seen strange men arrive in town with nefarious intentions. This includes a man called Sonny, who’s intent on causing some trouble.
We also don’t know how long Ava’s character will be in the show for, with Hallmark not yet confirming future episode cast or a Season 13.
