She’s back! The first creepy and kooky teaser trailer for Wednesday Season 2 has finally landed, and while it looks like a fun time, fans of the Netflix show have two major complaints.
After what feels like an eternity (nearly three years), the Addams Family spinoff is set to return in 2025.
Jenna Ortega is reprising her role as the pig-tailed princess of the macabre, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán as Morticia and Gomez Addams, to name a few.
Most of them will be heading back to Nevermore for more spooky adventures, and they’ll be joined by some fresh faces, including none other than Lady Gaga – but if you were excited to see her in action, you’ll need to wait.
Lady Gaga is missing in Wednesday Season 2 teaser trailer
The new teaser trailer certainly promises plenty of fun, with Wednesday and Thing getting into japes at airport security, Enid being Enid at Nevermore, and some creepy dolls.
However, fans have two complaints, the first being that Lady Gaga is nowhere to be seen, and the other the fact that Wednesday is being split into two halves.
So, Part 1 lands on August 6, 2025, while Part 2 will arrive on Netflix on September 3. This has led to complaints, especially as there will only be eight episodes total, with one writing on X/Twitter, “PLEASE stop breaking seasons up like this, it makes no sense.”
“Loved Season 1, but a three year wait for eight episodes then you break it up into parts,” said another, while a third added, “Can all eight episodes come out together like the three years waiting was enough please.”
Gaga’s absence hasn’t gone unnoticed, either. “Where is Gaga?” asked one, with another writing, “Not even a single Gaga crumb.”
Still, at least we know it’s coming. What’s more, we know a little more about the plot. As per Netflix, “Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await.
“This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.”
