Virgin River Season 7 is officially in production but two people are missing

The entire Virgin River cast watching Mel and Jack get married

Huzzah! As expected, Virgin River Season 7 has started filming this month. We’ve seen the first few snaps from set, but some unexpected characters are missing.

Already, that shocking Season 6 ending feels like a lifetime ago, but we’ve still got some burning questions. Charmaine has disappeared off the face of the earth, Lark ran off with Brady’s money, Mike asked Brie to marry him, and Mel and Jack could soon be adopting an unwanted surrogate baby.

If that wasn’t enough, Doc also now has the fight of his life on his hands. After being placed under investigation for performing unauthorized emergency brain surgery, Grace Valley Hospital now wants to buy out the clinic. Hope has found out their plans and won’t be taking any prisoners.

Thankfully, we’re now one step closer to getting some answers to these shocking cliffhangers. Season 7 has officially started filming, but one couple is missing.

Brie and Brady are missing from Virgin River Season 7 production shots

Virgin River has teased us with two production shots from the set of Season 7 – one of Mel and Jack, the other of Preacher, Doc, Hope, Lizzy, and Denny. But where are Brie and Brady?

Don’t panic, though. While the will-they-won’t-they couple aren’t in these pictures, the Season 6 finale means they have to be in new episodes. On top of this, actor Zibby Allen reshared the above photo on her Instagram Stories.

Obviously, Brady needs to find out if he can get his payout back from Lark, having set it aside to open a bike shop until Lark claimed her mother was sick. It seemed like they had sorted out their issues and moved past Lark’s deceit, until she overheard Brady telling Brie he still loved her.

Then there’s Brie and Mike. She’s yet to give him an answer as to whether she’ll marry him, with Mike revealing he knew she’d been unfaithful with Brady only a few episodes earlier. Whether he was bluffing and now has to face a nasty shock remains to be seen.

On top of all this, fans need to know whether Brady and Brie can ever find their way back to each other. From what we’ve discussed, we know the feelings are still there, but will they actually act on them properly?

As Allen told Dexerto, the chance for the pair to finally make things work is definitely there. “I think they can. I think it will take a lot of work. They are getting there, but I think the two of them both really struggle in their own ways to feel worthy of the love that they deserve for totally different reasons,” she explained.

“Brady comes from a broken home and he’s always been on the outskirts of town, he’s always been considered Shady Brady. I think Brie felt like her inner compass was really broken, and she couldn’t trust herself or her judgment. I think for them to inch their way back to feeling worthy of love, it’s a journey, and if they can do that, then they have a chance.”

Virgin River Season 7 currently doesn’t have a release date. Catch up with the Preacher’s trial verdict, Muriel and Cameron’s relationship, and Ricky’s return.
