Never mind Grey’s Anatomy or 9-1-1, The Pitt brings back the best medical drama of all time: ER. You might recognize the new TV show’s lead Noah Wyle for playing John Carter in ER, leaving at the end of Season 11. His time inside hospital walls felt like ancient history… until now.
We’re 12 episodes into the binge-worthy TV show, and a lot has gone down already. Children have accidentally ingested weed gummies, an ambulance has been stolen, and an influencer has had suspected schizophrenia. All in a day’s work!
However, the most recent storyline has been by far the most devastating: the team has been dealing with a never-ending roster of patients following a mass shooting at a local music festival. The trauma is far from over, so here’s what you need to know about The Pitt Episode 15.
The Pitt Episode 15 release date and time
The Pitt Episode 15, titled ‘9:00 PM,’ will air on Max April 10, 2025 at 9pm ET (or 6pm PT).
HBOThere are only 15 episodes in Season 1, meaning we’re at the home stretch. Don’t panic, though, as Season 2 has already been confirmed.

The Pitt Episode 15 runtime
We’re going bigger with the season finale – The Pitt Episode 15 will be 60 minutes long.
HBOThe previous 14 episodes have so far clocked in around 45 minutes, but let’s not forget the obvious – each episode is supposed to represent an hour of Dr. Robby and the gang’s shift, hence the titles.
We guessed the season finale would be a bit longer than usual, so this isn’t too surprising.
What will happen in The Pitt Episode 15?
As you can see from the below promo, the aftermath of the mass shooting takes its toll on all the medics, with Javadi threatening to no longer practice. Meanwhile, Langdon is concerned about Robby’s accusations.
“I think they can expect some satisfying closure,” star Gerran Howell told Dexerto about the season finale. “I think every shift has to come to an end. We’re with 10 characters throughout this whole thing, and somehow the writers have managed to give us all a satisfying end and a story arc. So I think it’s very well done. I think people will be happy, and hopefully again, not too traumatized.”
Episode 14 showed the devastating mass shooting storyline calming down, but the aftermath is bound to spill over into the season finale.
“It became very apparent just how harrowing a situation like that would be,” Howell says of the finale storyline. “And there’s like a real point of trying to make the set really immersive at all times. All of our background actors are with us the whole shoot, and you look in the background, something is happening all the time. So when that mass casualty incident comes in. It just upped it to 11, and it was horrific. It was really like stepping onto a horror film.”
