When is The Irrational Season 2 finale out?
NBCThe Irrational Season 2 Episode 16, the final episode of the season, will air on Tuesday, March 11, on NBC.
This marks a change from the show’s usual release schedule since it returned on January 7 this year.
Why is Episode 16 delayed?
There’s a simple reason you can watch the next episode of The Irrational next episode: it’s been delayed to avoid overlapping with Donald Trump’s presidential address on March 4.
This is standard practice on American television – and it’s happened to The Irrational before. In late 2024, Season 2’s premiere was postponed alongside other shows due to the vice presidential debate.
Rest assured, there aren’t any problems behind the scenes – and the finale will arrive as expected on March 11.
How many episodes are there in Season 2?
NBCThere are 16 episodes in The Irrational Season 12, an upgrade from the first season’s batch of 11 episodes.
Speaking to Tell-Tale TV, showrunner Arika Lisanne spoke about one of the main challenges of the second season: weaving Dan Ariely’s ideas from Predictably Irrational into fictional stories.
“I would say, going in from Season 1 into Season 2, the biggest suggestion I got was to lean it to the case of the week more than the serialized history,” she said.
“It depends on the episode. Some episodes, we start with the experiments or the bias [and] the principle. But others, we start with, ‘What if this kind of person went missing?’ We start with the irrational questions and go from there.
“In [Episode 2], we talked about the way our minds don’t always see what you think you’re seeing and how your mind plays tricks on you. The way witnesses are unreliable was the delicate thing to me. We had to find a way to figure out how to make witness unreliability to better have a case.”
