You might have noticed Hallmark TV show The Chicken Sisters quietly disappeared from its streaming service. Don’t panic, though – there are still two ways to watch it.
Think of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet if it had happened in modern-day America between two rival chicken restaurants, and nobody died. Then you’d have The Chicken Sisters, the binge-worthy TV show that took 2024 by storm.
It follows feuding sisters Amanda and Mae, who are reunited when reality show “Kitchen Clash” comes to their town. Basically, it’s the Montague vs. Capulet standoff between two rival chicken shops on live TV. What more could you ask for?
Being able to stream it, that’s what. Some fans have complained the show has disappeared from their Hallmark+ home page, leaving only two ways to watch The Chicken Sisters have their exceptional feud.
The Chicken Sisters isn’t leaving Hallmark+ for everyone
Annoyingly, The Chicken Sisters is only leaving Hallmark+ if you get your subscription through Prime Video. This means you have two choices – swap your subscription to a standalone Hallmark+ deal, or wait for Season 1 to stream again on The Hallmark Channel from March 30, 2025.
Unlike other shows such as When Calls the Heart and The Way Home, The Chicken Sisters went straight to Hallmark+. But most likely thanks to its Season 2 renewal – which is set to start filming in a matter of weeks – Hallmark is giving it another chance by airing it on a weekly basis from March 30.
With eight episodes, we can expect live broadcasts to last until May 18, but if you can’t wait that long to see it all, there’s another way to get stuck in.
Plans start from $7.99 per month, with Hallmark+ having access to the channel’s entire back catalog. Where this differs slightly is for fans outside the US. The monthly price is about the same (it’s £4.99 for UK viewers), but the access to content differs.
International fans will need a VPN to watch most Hallmark content regardless. It’s currently unclear if Season 2 will get a debut on The Hallmark Channel before heading to Hallmark+, or whether it will follow in the footsteps of Season 1.
Heading into The Chicken Sisters Season 2, we’ve got three huge storylines to consider: Gus’ multiple sclerosis diagnosis, Sabrina’s conflict about leaving her home in New York to pursue romance, and Amanda’s strained relationship with her mother.
