The Boys creator says this Gen V character could be the “most powerful superhero on the planet”

Can Homelander be killed? Well, according to the creator of The Boys, there’s one Gen V character that could be even more powerful than him.
Homelander has only been in serious danger once in The Boys: during Season 3, when Butcher, Hughie, and Soldier Boy teamed up against him. Other than that fight (which he fled from), he has basically been unbeatable.
So, who will step up to take him down? Will it be Butcher, armed with tumerous, superpowered tentacles? Could it be his son Ryan, who may be his only equal compared to the other supes in Vought’s orbit?
There may be another character who stands a chance, one with powers that could easily threaten Homelander: Marie Moreau from Gen V.
Gen V star wants Marie to kill Homelander in The Boys

If you’ve not watched Gen V, Marie is a blood bender. That means she can manipulate and wield not only her own blood, but also that of others. She can transform streams of blood into deadly weapons, such as shards capable of impaling opponents and tendrils that can grip people.
She can also detect tiny variations in her own blood flow as well as others; she burst a blood clot in her neck in order to remove a tracker, she quickened someone’s pulse, and she knew when a girl’s next period would be.
She has extraordinary abilities, and it makes her a substantial threat. “If she can control everybody’s blood, then what can’t she do? How is she not the most powerful superhero on the planet?” Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys, told EW.

“Just because she has the potential to be, doesn’t mean that she is. It felt like a very organic adolescent problem, which is these expectations are placed on you to be this truly great thing, but you’re not quite ready to step up to be truly great.”

While Gen V Season 2 will “take the piss” out of the “chosen one” archetype with regards to Marie, the actress behind the character is still hoping to be the one who kills the show’s biggest bad.
“I was always hoping that they would write me to kill Homelander,” Jaz Sinclair said.
“Marie’s such an underdog. The expansion of my powers in Season 2 is really exciting. So the weight of that and the implication of what that could mean for Marie was really fun for me this season… I like that she’s a Black woman, too.
“This super sexist, patriarchal bad guy. I would love to see him get his ass handed to him by a Black woman.”
