After three years of waiting for its return, Severance Season 2 is now coming to an end, and star Zach Cherry thinks fans may be left with more questions than answers. (Again.)
The first season of the Apple TV+ show left viewers on an unprecedented cliffhanger, with the MDR team breaking into their Outies’ lives and learning some cold hard truths. (“She’s alive!”)
While this season hasn’t exactly answered some of the biggest questions about the series, it’s certainly unveiled some harrowing details about Lumon, Harmony Cobel, and Gemma’s disappearance.
The Season 2 finale arrives next week, and according to one star, fans may need to prepare for another cliffhanger ending.
Zach Cherry says Severance S2 finale will excite people
Speaking to Dexerto, Zach Cherry (who plays Dylan) revealed that the Season 2 ending may be just as mysterious as the last.
“I think fans should expect to learn a lot of things, but also to have a lot of future questions about what’s going to happen next,” he said. “I think people will be very excited to see what will happen after this season.”
Thankfully, Season 3 has already been confirmed. So although there may be another nail-biting wait to find out what happens next, fans can take some comfort in knowing that even the cast doesn’t know what’s coming.

When asked if he knows what’s going to happen in Season 3, Cherry replied, “I really honestly don’t. It will be a surprise to me as well, but I’m excited to find out.
“I really do try and just approach this like a roller coaster, and during Season 1 I didn’t really ask a lot of questions because Dylan wouldn’t. He didn’t really care. So I’ve tried to let things come to me as they come. And for me, that has worked and it’s made it enjoyable.”
As viewers go into the Season 2 finale, Mark, Helly, Burt and Dylan are scattered to the wind, with Cherry’s character having “resigned” from his Innie role in Episode 9. However, he still needs his Outie’s approval, so it remains to be seen what’s next for Dylan.
Severance Season 2 Episode 10 premieres on March 20 on Apple TV+.
