Invincible Season 3 is drawing to a close – but it will not go quietly into that goodnight. According to Robert Kirkman, its final two episodes are “bigger” than anything we’ve seen so far.
After Powerplex burned his wife and baby to a crisp, Episode 6 ended with a jaw-dropping reveal: Angstrom Levy is alive, and he’s gathered 18 alternate (and presumably evil) Mark Graysons from across the multiverse. “This will do,” he said, cutting to the credits on an incredibly menacing note.
If you’ve read the Invincible comics, you may think you know what’s coming: the Invincible War, a pivotal, brutal event in Kirkman’s source material that has to be seen to be believed.
That’s not all: if leaks and rumors are to be believed, Conquest will show up in the finale; let’s just say, he’s the “someone much worse” Anissa warned us about. Kirkman couldn’t confirm or deny anything – but he did make an exciting promise.
Invincible Season 3 ends on “huge” moments

Speaking to Dexerto, Kirkman kept his cards close to his chest with Conquest. “I will say that Conquest shows up in the show eventually. I can confirm that – whether it’s before the end of Season 3 or the beginning, middle, or end of Season 4, I can’t say,” he said.
Before the third season’s release, only Episodes 1-6 were made available to critics – that was intentional, for reasons that will become abundantly clear this week.
“I will say that we’ve kept the last two episodes secret for a reason. We haven’t released any screeners,” he explained.
“They’re the biggest episodes we’ve done thus far, I think it’s very safe to say that, and we end on some pretty huge moments.”
A word of caution to those who’ve read the comics: there could be some deviations (after all, in an earlier interview Kirkman said the TV show was a “second draft” of the story).
“Don’t think you’ve got it figured out. You may get something unexpected at the end,” Kirkman teased. “There’s probably going to be some surprises along the way for comic book fans and definitely some tweaks here and there.”
Simon Racioppa, the series’ co-showrunner, also told us that while they’re “staying very closely to the books, we always try to put in little tweaks and surprises and try to expand moments… whatever those episodes are, we always try to surprise our viewers a little bit.”
