Reacher Season 3 has seen the big guy working undercover for criminal importer/exporter Zachary Beck, who in turn has been working for evil arms dealer Quinn.
This season has seen Jack team up with DEA agents in his search for a missing woman called Teresa. While he’s also trying to put to bed demons from his past.
With his cover blown, and the stakes higher than ever, here’s what could happen in the Season 3 finale, which is appropriately titled ‘Unfinished Business.’ Meaning potential SPOILERS ahead (but only if we’ve got these right).
Reacher and Paulie have the fight of the century
Prime VideoReacher Season 3 has featured Jack’s biggest challenge yet, in the shape of man-mountain Paulie. Reacher previously punched him with little effect, while Paulie slapped Jack and it genuinely took the wind out of him.
The whole series has been building towards their big brawl, and while we went early with our ‘fight of the century‘ prediction and got it wrong, there’s no doubt they will come to blows in the season finale. Meaning just one question remains – how can the big guy defeat the even bigger guy?
Duffy rescues Teresa
Prime VideoOne of the reasons Reacher has gone undercover is revenge. But the other is working in conjunction with Susan Duffy and the DEA to track down their missing spy Teresa, who infiltrated the same shady business as Jack before disappearing.
Reacher has already established that Teresa is still alive, and we know that she’s currently being used to sweeten an arms deal. So Teresa needs saving, but rather than Jack rescuing her, it will likely be Duffy, as she’s the one who sent Teresa in, and is now feeling a huge amount of guilt about that decision.
Reacher kills Quinn, again
Apple TV+That aforementioned revenge concerns Xavier Quinn, a former military man who previously sold secrets to the highest bidder, and murdered Reacher’s friend and colleague Dominique Kohl in cold blood.
Jack thought he had killed Quinn when he shot the villain in the head at point-plank range, but through one of TV’s tiredest tropes, his nemesis survived, with a bout of amnesia. They are on a collision course however, and it seems likely that Reacher will kill him again.
Reacher leaves Duffy
Prime VideoYou’d think with all the punching and kicking and shooting and stabbing, Reacher wouldn’t have time for love, but across the three seasons of the series thus far, he’s had three relationships.
Roscoe in Season 1 made sense, while Karla in Season 2 was someone he had a long-term crush on. But the Duffy kiss in Season 3 came out of nowhere, and their lack of chemistry means this tryst hasn’t made a lot of sense. So with Jack being something of a ‘lone wolf’ – and presuming she survives the finale – expect Reacher to move on from Duffy at the end of the episode.
Richie survives and escapes
Prime VideoRichie Beck is pretty much the only innocent in Season 3. He got his ear cut off before the series started because of his father’s criminal dealings. Then in one of Season 3’s most upsetting scenes, he was forced to play Russian Roulette by Quinn.
So while his dad might not make it to the end of the series alive due to past crimes, Richie should, potentially by using some of the fight moves that Reacher taught him, and if not then with Jack’s help, as he clearly sees the boy as a kindred spirit.
