Landman Season 2 just got the best update ever for Taylor Sheridan fans

Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris in Landman

Buckle up, oil tycoons! The fate of Taylor Sheridan’s Landman has finally been revealed… and let’s just say it’s raining gold.

Fans for Sheridan’s TV shows should be feeling pretty satisfied right about now. Landman aside, Yellowstone has officially wrapped up for good, with Lioness Season 2 following not too far behind.

1923 Season 2 is in full swing, with other Yellowstone spinoffs like The Madison ready and waiting in the wings. Now, there’s another slice of pie in the empire.

Following the world of West Texas oil rigs and notorious landman Tommy Norris, it looks like the world of hustling and disturbing father-daughter relationships isn’t quite done yet.

Landman Season 2 officially renewed by Paramount

Yes, believe it! Paramount has officially renewed Landman for Season 2, just two months after the explosive Season 1 finale.

“Landman was one of the biggest shows of the year because of Taylor Sheridan’s unique ability to tap into the cultural zeitgeist, harnessing the Neo-Western themes of rugged individualism, ambition and working-class struggles set against contemporary debates around energy, climate change and economic growth,” said Co-CEO of Paramount Global Chris McCarthy.

“The series has helped drive Paramount+ to new heights as the number two SVOD in the U.S. for Original Hours Watched in Q4, alongside our other hit series Tulsa King, The Agency, Lioness and Dexter: Original Sin.”

As you can see from that last line, three Taylor Sheridan shows have been helping this boost, marking only the second time since Nielsen began tracking SVODs (Q3–17) that a service had three of the top 10 series outside of Netflix.
