Stand ready for his arrival, worms, because Conquest is about to fight Mark in Invincible Season 3 Episode 8 – and the perfect voice actor is playing him.
Before the third season of Invincible premiered, the series announced a slew of new cast members; this included Aaron Paul as Powerplex, Simu Liu as Multi-Paul, and Christian Convery as Oliver.
Notably, two actors’ roles were redacted: Jonathan Banks and Doug Bradley, and many presumed they were picked to portray Conquest and Brit (a beloved character also created by Kirkman) respectively.
After watching Season 3 Episode 7, we know Banks is actually Brit and Bradley is voicing the Technicians. So, who is playing Conquest? Well, let’s just say, it’s setting up the rematch of the century for Walking Dead fans.
Who voices Conquest in Invincible?

Conquest is played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the Invincible TV show.
This was a proper surprise at the end of Episode 7, given Morgan’s involvement wasn’t officially announced before the season’s release (he appeared on a cast list shortly before the episode premiered, but there was no role attached to his name).
Here’s the thing: Morgan teased he’d eventually play someone in Invincible in January 2023. He posted a photo of himself on Instagram with two Invincible Compendiums (Vol 2 and 3, which suggested he’d play Conquest or an even bigger villain down the line), writing: “Doing a little reading. Thanks #robertkirkman.”
The closing scene of Episode 7 marks a 109-week payoff, and it’s even more significant for fans of The Walking Dead. Morgan portrayed Negan, the show’s Lucille-wielding big bad who infamously murdered Glenn… played by Steven Yeun, who voices Mark Grayson aka Invincible.
Next week, if it follows the comics (specifically Issue 61 onwards), Conquest and Invincible will duke it out – meaning Walking Dead fans will finally get the rematch they’ve always wanted.
Morgan is also known for his roles in Supernatural as John Winchester, Grey’s Anatomy as Denny Duquette, and Zack Snyder’s Watchmen as The Comedian. Last year, he appeared in The Boys Season 4 as Joe Kessler.
