How to watch Season 1 of Guy Ritchie and Tom Hardy’s acclaimed TV show MobLand, plus everything we know about Season 2.

Guy Ritchie has made some of the best crime capers of all time, most notably Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, and Rocknrolla.

More recently he’s tried his hand at TV, via superb Netflix show The Gentlemen, which combined comedy and drama in Season 1, and will soon be returning for Season 2.

In between those seasons, Ritchie made MobLand, which was a much more serious affair, about two warring London crime families.

Is MobLand on Netflix?

MobLand is not a Netflix series – it debuted on Paramount Plus on March 30, 2025, where the show is available exclusively.

Despite its proximity to The Gentlemen (and the fact they even share a few filming locations), MobLand isn’t in any way connected to the Netflix series.

That said, it wasn’t conceived as an entirely original project. MobLand was first devised (and announced in 2024) as a prequel to Ray Donovan, exploring the origin story of the Donovan family.

The show was then reworked as a standalone story with no connection to the Showtime series, and slapped with two alternate titles – The Associate and Fixer – before settling on MobLand.

Will there be a MobLand Season 2?

Tom Hardy marching into action in MobLand.

Yes, there will be a MobLand Season 2. The show was renewed on June 23, 2025, just three weeks after the last episode of Season 1 aired.

“With more than 26 million viewers and climbing, MobLand has become a resounding triumph” said Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount. “We are elated to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon, which has dominated both domestic and international charts and soared to Number 1 in the UK.”

As for what could happen, Tom Hardy speculated about the future of the show in an interview with The Hollywood Reporting, asking: “Does it become international? There are international elements to organized crime, which are touched on in Season 1 and the control of drugs and ammunition and weapons and people and all kinds of things that go through Europe and from Africa through to South America, Pakistan and the variable commodities that move around Europe.

“There are families that are involved in each European country that are vying for power to have that status to be able to move these kind of commodities through and who polices that and how that fits into a world stage.”

While we wait to find out if Hardy is right about the direction of MobLand Season 2, you can keep tabs on the year’s small screen releases with our 2025 TV show calendar and check out our list of the best TV shows of all time.
