Fire County Season 3 Episode 15 might save Bode’s life before his relapse

Bode’s addiction issues aren’t news in Edgewater, with the Season 3 midpoint sending him over the edge. Luckily, Fire County Season 3 Episode 15 will likely pull him back from the brink.

It’s all got a bit hairy in Fire Country of late… although to be fair, when isn’t it? Given the binge-worthy TV show is all about a prison reform scheme that means convicts are firefighters, drama is just part and parcel of each day.

However, lead character Bode has more on his plate than most. Back in Season 1, we not only learned that he had a role to play in sister Riley’s death (though it wasn’t his fault), but he also has an addiction problem spanning back to an old baseball injury. In short, let’s say he was using his pain meds a little too frugally.

That’s why Coach Drew giving him similar meds after his work injury in Episode 13 immediately raised alarm bells. Bode kept hold of them but hasn’t relapsed, meaning Fire County Season 3 Episode 15 could be about to change things for the better.

Bode has already taken accountability before Fire County Season 3 Episode 15

Let’s rewind back to Episode 14. Fans saw Bode share the aftermath of Drew’s pills with Audrey, keeping them because it made his “actions more real.”

The fact he’s been accountable for his own actions suggests signs of huge personal growth since the first time around, meaning a relapse in Episode 15 (or further on) is now much less likely.

As we know in any of life’s situations, sharing is caring – and it also means we can become stronger because of it. Now Bode has shared with Audrey, she can help keep him on the right track. It’s also a testament to their relationship, and further proof they’re a better romantic fit than Bode and Gabriela (who has now admitted she still loves him, which is a separate issue).

Given his emotional barriers have been firmly up for… well, forever, trusting Audrey with such a personal confession is a huge leap of faith for Bode. Trust is now really able to build up from here, which isn’t only a good thing for fans of the relationship, but for Bode and Audrey themselves. An action plan for if – and that’s a big if – Bode does ever relapse, meaning he’s armed with strategies from the jump.

Does this mean Bode is completely out of the woods though? Not at all. Of course a relapse is possible even if it isn’t as likely, but this isn’t the only problem waiting for him in the near future. Bode’s only just lost Rafael and Birch, and is still getting to grips with the prospect of Three Rock being in danger. Even Manny is riddled with an illness that could still risk his life.

All of these on their own would be enough to tip anybody over the edge, let alone trying to deal with them at the same time. We’ve still got the effects of Walter’s diagnosis and buried Riley trauma haunting the Leone family as a whole too, meaning relapse or no relapse, Bode has a massive journey ahead of him.
