Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will come out sooner than you think

The devil’s work is never done, and if things go to plan, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will land on Disney Plus sooner rather than later.

A lot has happened since Daredevil Season 3, the final season of the best Marvel TV show to date. Notably, the launch of Disney Plus, which brought the studio’s small-screen Netflix universe to a close.

After Matt Murdock and Kingpin’s brief appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, a new Daredevil series was announced to be in development in 2022. It was titled Born Again – but this is just a nod to the hero’s return to the MCU, not an adaptation of Frank Miller’s iconic comic book arc.

In just over a week, the show will finally arrive – and, if we play our cards right, we won’t be forced to wait too long for Season 2.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 set for 2026 release

That’s right, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 should be released in 2026, according to Marvel TV chief Brad Winderbaum.

“That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully Season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York,” he told Screen Rant.

You may be thinking, “That’s still far away.” However, times have changed when it comes to television schedules, and longer gaps between seasons have become all too common.

Look at Severance Season 2, which took three years. House of the Dragon Season 3 and The Boys Season 5 will also be released two years after their previous seasons. Once upon a time, annual releases were the done thing, and Born Again is hoping to maintain that release schedule for as long as it lasts.

“It’s certainly something very fundamental to Marvel, going back to the earliest days of publishing with Stan and Jack and Steve and the original Marvel bullpen. It’s New York through New York, and the fact that we’re able to shoot here and tell a story about New York made by New Yorkers is just fundamental to the series,” Winderbaum added.

To be clear, only Season 2 has officially been green-lit. Marvel has yet to give the thumbs-up on a third season.

“100% it’s a multi-season show. I don’t know how many seasons it’ll run,” the Marvel boss told Entertainment Weekly.

Hopefully, it’ll be smooth sailing for the series – especially after such taxing development. The revival was originally handed to Matt Corman and Chris Ord, before it was overhauled by Dario Scardapane (who worked on The Punisher), Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead, with its tone brought more in line with the Netflix series.

In short, there will be blood. “Every now and again I meet a fan and they go, ‘Is the show as dark?’ And when I hear that, I have a smile, because I’m like, ‘Yeah, you’re gonna be ok,'” Charlie Cox said at a press conference.
