Daredevil: Born Again Episode 9 just dropped on Disney Plus, setting the stage for the Man Without Fear to reunite with the Defenders – but don’t expect to see Episode 10.
This week’s episode of Daredevil was a doozy. Fisk wages war on every vigilante in New York City, either capturing them and locking them in cages or allowing his task force to execute them on the streets.
Thankfully, Matt survives with the help of The Punisher and Karen, but they can’t stop Kingpin. By the end, Commissioner Gallo is dead, the city’s heroes are hidden away, and Matt begins assembling an army to fight back – could this pave the way for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist’s return? Perhaps.
It’s a tantalizing ending, and fans will no doubt be hungry for more (especially after all of that action with The Punisher). Alas, there’s no new episode next week.
Is there a Daredevil: Born Again Episode 10?

No, Daredevil: Born Again Episode 10 doesn’t exist. The first season ended with Episode 9, so you’ll need to wait until Season 2.
If you followed the show’s development, you may remember it was originally planned to run for 18 episodes. That’s still the case – however, it was basically split in half, so the first season only has nine episodes.
This was also when it was under the purview of Matt Corman and Chris Ord, who exited the series as part of its overhaul, at which point The Punisher’s Dario Scardapane was brought in to oversee the project with Loki and Moon Knight’s Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead as lead directors.
Speaking to the Phase Hero podcast, Marvel TV chief Brad Winderbaum explained: “Our first conceit for Daredevil was let’s try a longer format. Let’s take this character and this world of New York City and build an ensemble.
“Then we learned a lot of lessons doing it that way. So, because of a number of reasons, including the shutdowns due to the strikes, we were able to reassess the episodes and see what we had.
“It’s just the best nine episodes. It feels like it is a great kind of first season… I think it’s a series that can run for multiple seasons.”
When is the next episode of Daredevil: Born Again?

Daredevil: Born Again won’t return until 2026 at the earliest, with Season 2 already in production.
Be careful on social media, because there have been several leaks from the second season – including a new suit for Matt Murdock.
“It’s been great. We’ve been shooting a lot of crazy sequences,” executive producer Sana Amanat told Marvel.
“The crew is crushing it, and the action is nonstop. The backdrop is a little different. It’s still New York, but it’s a slightly different kind of New York.
“I’m very excited about the material we’ve been getting. I’ve been fangirling all week. We shot a really big sequence with Wilson Fisk this week, and I felt like a kid in a candy shop.”
One thing that should be considered is where it’ll squeeze in between Marvel’s big projects next year; namely, Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
