Sorry to break it to 46,000 people who’ve reacted to it, the 1,400 users who’ve commented on it, and the 8,000 people who shared the post, but it’s completely made up.
It’s possible the notion of a revival has been brought on by the interest in Good Boy, a new horror movie that takes place in a haunted house and unfolds from the perspective of a dog.
In 2018, the show’s creator John R. Dilworth revealed he was in negotiations with Boomerang to develop a prequel, but it never came to pass, with Cartoon Network focusing on other projects. In February 2024, he uploaded an animatic version of the pilot to YouTube, titled Goblins of Litter.
It’s not all bad news, though. In 2021, the Mystery Incorporated gang had a crossover with Courage in Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog, an animated movie. It’s available to stream on HBO Max now.
