Popular TikToker KingBeardX, real name John Crawley, has passed away at age 47.

The TikToker, who had over 2.5 million followers on the short-form video platform, had grown in popularity following his comedic videos where he would regularly mock food trends and how people ate their meals.

Crawley had been taken to hospital on August 4 with respiratory issues. As per the GoFundMe that had been set up for him, the TikToker was taken into intensive care as he’d stopped breathing. While his breath returned, his condition was “very bad” and needed treatment.

An additional update on August 17 revealed that Crawley was responsive, but the breathing issues remained. However, on August 19, he passed away.

“I’m really sorry to tell everyone the bad news but Pimpmunkx (KingBeardx) passed away yesterday. Thank you to everyone that has supported the fundraiser so far,” Anthony Caruso, the TikToker’s podcast co-host, wrote on GoFundMe

“His mother says told me to thank you all. The fundraiser will continue to go on to support fundraising a funeral/helping John’s mother.”

Caruso noted that the TikToker was the main breadwinner for his family and didn’t have health insurance, hence the ask for donations from fans.
