All fighter changes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate patch 6.0.0

A patch for Smash Bros Ultimate dropped November 6 bringing in Terry Bogard, a new stage, plenty of new music tracks and plenty of fighter balance changes.

Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard has finally arrived in Patch 6.0.0. In addition to the new fighter, others could be about to play like new with a series of buffs for series favorites Donkey Kong, Kirby and Jigglypuff.

Of note, all sorts of neutral and special attacks for Kirby, Donkey Kong, Robin, Incineroar and King K. Rool have had their speed, power or launch distance increased. This means that players maining these fighters are going to need to hit the lab and see what new combos are possible to make the most out of these buffs.

Unfortunately for players hoping to see nerfs to rising-meta darlings such as Joker, this patch didn’t bring any debuffs to the Persona character who is becoming a top pick for high-profile players such as Gavin ‘Tweek’ Dempsey and Sota ‘Zackray’ Okada.

It will be interesting to see how the meta develops in the pro scene going forward with Terry’s addition as well as the Kirby buffs.

Other Smash Ultimate 6.0.0 improvements

Battle Arenas can now be set to public, meaning Quick Play is no
longer the only way to fight random opponents. So, you can play against
the same opponent for as long as you like, though you won’t gain Global
Smash Power for doing so.

Additionally, rules can now be changed after each bout by the owner
of the arena, so you don’t have to remake just to change things like
items or number of stocks.
