How to give people Robux in Roblox

In Roblox players can use Robux to purchase exclusive rewards and items on the platform and from time to time you may want to share or gift them to friends.

From scary horror games to more chill simulators, Roblox is filled with great games in 2025 to enjoy solo or with friends. There are plenty of items to find in the different experiences too but you’ll need the in-game Robux currency to get some.

How to gift Robux

Unfortunately, you can’t simply send Robux to your friends by pressing a button but there are multiple methods for giving the currency to others on the platform.

We’ve got a step-by-step rundown of all the ways you can share the currency below:

Gift cards

1. Head to the official Roblox shopping page.
2. Type in your name and the name of the friend the card is for.
3. Hit the ‘Pick a Gift Card’ button.
4. Choose between a Physical or Digital card and select the currency you want (USD, EUR, etc.)
5. Pick a design for the card.
6. Choose how much Robux credit you’d like to put on the card.
7. Enter your friend’s email address and the date you’d like the card to be sent.
8. Finally, you’ll be directed to a checkout page where you can pay for and send the gift card.

Buy and Sell a Game Pass

Purchasing a Game Pass is an easy way to send Robux if you’ve got some to spare in your account. Here’s how it works:

1. Go to your friend’s Roblox profile and click on their profile menu.
2. Navigate to the ‘Creations‘ tab and open their default experience (this is usually their Roblox name).
3. Open the menu and click on ‘Configure this experience‘.
4. Click on the option to make the experience public from the menu.
5. Navigate to your own profile and open your experience from the Creations menu.
6. Click on ‘Add Pass‘ from the Store tab.
7. Click on ‘Manage my experiences‘.
8. Navigate to the cog icon on the right-hand side of the screen, from here select ‘Add Pass‘.
9. Set the price depending on how many Robux you want to send (Note: a 30% market tax is applied to all purchases).
10. Save the pass and send the link to your friend.
11. Ask them to buy the pass you’ve created, and the Robux should appear in their account within 3 days.

Set up a Community

Another way to send Robux to others is by setting up a group:

1. Launch Roblox
2. Navigate to the ‘Communities‘ tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Click on ‘Create Community‘ to create a group (Note: it costs 100 Robux to do this).
4. Create a Game Pass and invite your friends to join.
5. Navigate to ‘Configure community‘ from the drop-down menu, then select ‘Revenue‘.
6. Click on ‘Payouts‘ then ‘One-time Payouts‘.
7. Click on ‘Add Payout Recipients‘.
8. Type in your friend’s Roblox name, and the amount of Robux you want to send, and finally press ‘Distribute‘.
9. The Robux will then appear in your friend’s account!

Purchase a friend’s item

If you have a friend in the Builder’s Club, you can send them Robux by purchasing one of their items listed in the Roblox catalog:

1. Have your friend create a unique item and list it in the Roblox catalog.
2. Navigate to the catalog and find your friend’s listed item.
3. Buy it
4. Once it’s been sold, your friend will receive 70% of the Robux due to market tax
