When Gordon Ramsay offers his culinary advice, it’s probably wise to listen. But, of the Kitchen Nightmares restaurants he visited during the show, only a small fraction are still functioning in 2025.

One of the most intense aspects of Kitchen Nightmares is the way Ramsay steps up to intervene where needed. The restaurants he visits are often significantly struggling before he comes along to help out.

Gordon isn’t afraid to speak his mind about the changes a particular restaurant needs to make. He’s brutally honest and he never beats around the bush, and that’s what makes it one of the best TV shows.

So, how many of the 101 restaurants we’ve seen in Kitchen Nightmares episodes are still open today in 2025 after responding to Gordon’s influence?

It turns out that Kitchen Nightmares has only been successful a small fraction of the time. A mere 31 of the restaurants Gordon spent time in are still open right now.

For the most part, the majority of restaurants from the earlier seasons just aren’t around anymore. A few of the more memorable restaurants that didn’t survive include The Mixing Bowl, Hot Potato Café, and Amy’s Baking Company.

Most of the restaurants we saw in Season 8 are still functioning, but only time will tell if they will last. Season 9 aired its finale in March 2025, so keep your eyes peeled for any updates about Season 10.
