Eevee and its evolutions have been a staple of Pokemon since the very first generation. To that end, we’ve compiled a list of the best-looking Eeveelution cards ever to grace the Pokemon TCG.
Longtime fans of the Pokemon franchise will know that the ever-expanding suite of Eevee’s evolutions are colloquially known as ‘Eeveelutions’. This special subcategory contains some of the most popular Pokemon of all time and everybody has their favorite.
The Pokemon Company knows just how beloved they are having dubbed 2025 the Year of Eevee and kicked things off with the Prismatic Evolutions TCG set. This special set highlights Eevee and the fan-favorite Eeveelutions, and it got us thinking about the long history these Pokemon have in the TCG.
There are a tonne of beautiful Eeveelution cards spread throughout the Pokemon TCG. We’ve compiled the 10 best-looking ones to hunt down for your collection.
10. Flareon (Jungle)

It might seem a little mean slapping Flareon at the bottom of this list given how much flack it cops for its in-game viability. Do keep in mind that it sits atop hundreds of other Eeveelution cards that exist in the TCG.
Another reason this choice may seem controversial is that in the modern era of the Pokemon TCG, there are a plethora of full art cards and special illustration rares. Despite that, we think that the OG Flareon from the Jungle expansion is one of the best-looking Eeveelution cards there is.
The vibrant color palette in the artwork is incredibly eye-catching but the card also does interesting things with the form of Flareon. The lengthened tail with a fiery motif lends this variant a majesty that other cards featuring the Pokemon never quite capture.
9. Vaporeon EX (Generations)

Number nine on the list and still no full arts. Don’t worry, they’re coming. Vaporeon EX from 2016’s Generations expansion nabs a spot on the list thanks to its unique-looking extended artwork.
Not only does Vaporeon itself look adorable on this particular card, but the Pokemon is depicted swimming through a vortex of bubbles that spill out into other areas giving it a divergent look compared to other variants.
8. Glaceon VSTAR Holo Rare (Crown Zenith)

Our first full art variant on the list and the Glaceon VSTAR Holo Rare from Sword & Shield’s Crown Zenith set uses the treatment to tremendous effect. This version of Glaceon is framed as if the viewer is peering through branches from a hidden vantage point to catch a glimpse of the Pokemon.
It’s a little subjective but to us, Glaceon has always had an air of precious mystery about it. This card conveys that feeling perfectly and is definitely the best that the Ice-type Eeveelution has ever looked.
7. Dark Jolteon (Rocket)

Just as quick as the full arts arrived, they were gone. The Team Rocket Expansion’s Dark Jolteon is the last standard variant on our list of the 10 best-looking Eeveelutions in the Pokemon TCG; we promise.
Even without the benefit from some extended artwork, this card does something few Eeveelution cards do. While more modern iterations of these cards lean into presenting these Pokemon as adorable or beautiful, Dark Jolteon is one of the few that communicates a sense of menace.
Jagged shapes, bold colors, and some crackling lightning make this Electric-type Eeveelution look truly dangerous. It’s one of the best-looking cards from a bygone era.
6. Sylveon VMAX Full Art Rare Rainbow (Evolving Skies)

When Pokemon introduced the Dynamax mechanic, TCG artists delivered with their depictions of the oversized mons, and more than a few maxed-out Eeveelutions made the list. Evolving Skies’ Sylveon VMAX Rare Rainbow full art is one such card.
The pastel color palette and flurry of petals perfectly capture the vibe of the adorable Fairy-type Eeveelution. Sylveon may be the newest addition to Evvee’s evolutionary roster but it’s already a fan-favorite and this card is easily its best showing in the TCG.
5. Leafeon VSTAR Holo Rare (Crown Zenith)

It’s no coincidence that both of the Generation 4 Eeveelutions on our list feature the same treatment from the same set. Crown Zenith’s artists really seem to get the identity of Diamond and Pearl’s additions to the roster.
The Leafeon VSTAR Holo Rare makes the Pokemon pop by centering the Eeveelution amid a darkened background. It looks right at home surrounded by earthy knick-knacks and propagating plants.
4. Umbreon VMAX Full Art Rare Rainbow (Evolving Skies)

It wouldn’t be a list of the best-looking Eeveelutions in the Pokemon TCG without the inclusion of a card colloquially known as ‘Moonbreon’. Not only is it the most expensive Eeveelution on the market, it’s also our controversial pick for fourth place.
Highlighted with a dark aura, this VMAX Umbreon stands out visually but the idea of it swatting at the moon like a ball of yarn is both adorable and a near-perfect representation of the feline traits associated with Eevee and its evolutions. We say near-perfect because of the next card on this list.
3. Espeon VMAX Full Art Rare Rainbow (Fusion Strike)

Nothing says kitty quite like an enormous Espeon perched inconveniently on a roof with no regard for the concern of others. This napping Eeveelution crept above the last one for that reason alone.
The Espeon VMAX Full Art from Sword & Shield’s Fusion Strike expansion is our favorite Espeon variant thanks to its adorable premise and its excellent snapshot of the Galar region.
2. Jolteon V (Sword and Shield Black Star Promo)

Sword & Shield’s Jolteon V Black Star Promo climbed so high on the list thanks to its dynamic look and the excellent sense of motion that it expresses. Ironically, if there’s one thing the Electric-type Eeveelution should never be, it’s static.
The Moody color palette of a city at dusk is the perfect backdrop for a vibrant yellow Jolteon to stand out against. Not to mention that running up the side of a building is cool in any context.
1. Umbreon EX Special Illustration Rare (Prismatic Evolutions)

Here it is, number one. Call it recency bias if you want but for our money (hopefully not), Prismatic Evolutions’ Special Illustration Rare Umbreon EX is the best-looking Eeveelution in the Pokemon TCG. Where the Stellar Tera-type Crown can look goofy on some Pokemon, it just fits here.
The card art calls to mind religious iconography on a stained-glass window and the way Umbreon would melt into the background if not for the backdrop of the sun just does something to us. Serving as a companion of sorts to Moonbreon, Sunbreon here is our number one pick of the Eeveelution crop, even if it’s only the second-most expensive.
That’s our list of the 10 best-looking Eeveelutions in the Pokemon TCG. If you’re wondering why Umbreon topped the list, why not check out what makes it so popular amongst fans.
