A new Drop Event featuring a full-art Gible as the main attraction is live in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Here are all the event details to get this valuable card, along with the new Promo ones.
Drop Events are a monthly Pokemon TCG Pocket event, with the latest ones headlining Cresselia ex and a full-art Blastoise card. Now, it’s time for a pseudo Legendary to take the spotlight.
The Gible event comes as part of the recently released Triumphant Light set – which introduced the god-like Pokemon Arceus to the game – and has four new beautiful Promo cards every player will want to add to their collection.
Gible Drop Event: Date & time
The newest Pokemon TCG Pocket Gible Drop Event kicked off on March 3, 2025, and will run until March 17, 2025, which means players will have a lot of time to get the five Promo cards, including the elusive Gible full-art.
The event features four tiers of AI solo battles – featuring Gible and different Fighting decks – that players must get through to get a green Promo-A Vol. 5 booster with one random promo card inside.

Players who participate in the event will have the chance to earn five new Promo cards:

Fighting deck best counters
Even though there are exceptions to the rule – Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, and Lucario’s family – it is best to fully focus on Grass-type deck builds to take down any battle tier of the Pokemon TCG Pocket Gible Drop Event.
Grass-type cards deal +20 damage to Fighting-type Pokemon. This includes Gible, Gabite, and the extremely powerful Garchomp ex.
Don’t forget that you’ll need Trainer cards to help out, including items, tools, and supporters. With Grass-type decks, it’s best to have a good amount of healing cards, such as Erika, at hand.
Best deck build
Many Grass-type deck variations can help you out during your Gabite and Garchomp ex encounters. However, two main decks excel: the Leafeon ex and the Exeggutor ex decks.

LEAFEON EX | EXEGGUTOR EX |
---|---|
– x2 Leafeon ex – x2 Eevee – x2 Celebi ex – x1 Shaymin – x2 Erika – x1 Potion – x2 Professor’s Research – x2 Giant Cape – x2 X-Speed – x2 Poke Ball – x1 Cyrus – x1 Irida | – x2 Exeggcute – x2 Exeggutor – x2 Exeggutor ex – x1 Celebi ex – x1 Mew ex – x2 Erika – x2 Leaf – x2 Professor’s Research – x1 Cyrus – x1 Sabrina – x2 Poke Ball – x1 Giant Cape – x1 X-Speed |
How to start
Finding and kicking off the Gible Drop Event battles is very easy, so you just need to follow a few simple steps:
- Open Pokemon TCG Pocket
- Go to the ‘Battle’ tab (fourth icon on the bottom)
- Tap on ‘Solo’
- Enter the Gible Drop Event (first option)
- Pick a battle tier
- Select your deck and press ‘Battle!’
Keep in mind that the Drop Events use a Stamina system, which depletes every time you win one of the battles. However, if you run out and want to keep going, you can trade Event Hourglasses to replenish it.
Requirements
Before players can access the Gible Drop Event, they must unlock the Battle menu, which requires a Level 3 or higher.
Luckily, reaching Level 3 only takes a few minutes, as you get plenty of experience points from the get-go by opening boosters and participating in Wonder Picks.
Also, all six of the ‘For New Players’ steps from the Battle Guide must be completed.
That’s all you need to know about the Gible Drop Event in Pokemon TCG Pocket. For more on the game, check every Promo Card available and how to get them, as well as the event schedule and all the secret missions.
