Mystery Gifts have always been a fun way to get freebies in Pokemon games, and Scarlet & Violet don’t miss out on the staple, with plenty of codes often available to redeem. The distribution of these codes has become increasingly frequent, but they don’t always last long, and some expire fairly quickly.
You’ll need to reach a Pokemon Center before you can start claiming the Mystery Gifts and filling out the Paldea Pokedex in the game, so here’s a breakdown of everything currently available and a step-by-step on redeeming them.
Active Mystery Gift codes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
There are twelve Mystery Gifts to claim in Scarlet & Violet as of August 12, 2025, following the expiry of ‘R1LLAB00M2024TW’ at the end of July:
Code | Reward | Expires On |
---|---|---|
No code - Get via Internet | Shiny Wo-Chien | September 30 (NEW) |
No code - Get via Internet | x100 Grass Tera Shard, x100 Bug Tera Shard, x100 Poison Tera Shard, x100 Fairy Tera Shard | September 30 (NEW) |
The two codes, ‘STRACKSU1T‘ and ‘VTRACKSU1T‘, provide trainers with a unique tracksuit for their avatars. Keep in mind, though, that the first one is Scarlet exclusive, and the second is Violet exclusive.
It’s not clear when they will become unavailable, so players should claim them as soon as they can.
Mystery Gifts marked with a * require you to have purchased The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC
Are there any codes for free Pokemon?
Yes, free Pokemon are available to claim in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Between August 7, 2025, and September 30, 2025, players can claim a Shiny Wo-Chien as part of a special event featuring the four Treasures of Ruin in their Shiny variants.
The event will put the beasts in 5-Star Tera Raids for two weeks each. If players get to defeat every one of them one million times (collectively), they’ll be rewarded with Shiny Wo-Chien, Shiny Chien-Pao, Shiny Ting-Lu, and Shiny Chi-Yu through the Mystery Gift mechanic.

How to redeem Mystery Gifts
Before you can redeem your codes in-game, you’ll need to reach the first Pokemon Center in Los Plato. After you’ve talked to the Pokémon Center staff, you can claim your Mystery Gifts by following the steps listed below:
- Open the game menu by pressing X, then select ‘Poke Portal‘ on the right side menu.
- Select the ‘Mystery Gift‘ option at the bottom of the menu.
- Choose which method you want to use to receive a gift. If you have a code, select the ‘Get With Code/Password‘ option.
- Collect your gifts and enjoy!
For ones that can only be claimed via the Internet, like the Mythical Pecha Berry, just click on the first option in the above menu, “Get via Internet.”
Once claimed, Pokemon will be added to your Party or your Pokemon Boxes if there’s no room. Additionally, any items received will be sent straight to your Bag, and you can also see your previously downloaded gifts by choosing ‘Check Mystery Gifts‘ in the menu.
