The Grass/Fairy-type Tapu Bulu first appeared in Gen 6’s Alola region as part of the Legendary Guardian Deities along with Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini.
Since its debut in Niantic’s game, it has been popping in and out of 5-Star Raids, and thanks to the May Raid rotations, players will be able to challenge it once more before the Might and Mastery season ends.

Tapu Bulu’s signature move, Nature’s Madness, is a great Fairy-type attack that not only benefits from STAB but also offers coverage against Fighting, Dragon, and Dark-type Pokemon. Plus, it decreases the target’s Defense stat by 20%.
This combination lets Tapu Bulu deal super effective damage against six different types, which makes it incredibly versatile. Moreover, those who can afford a secondary Charged Move can go for Grass Knot, as it provides better DPS than Solar Beam.

It’s worth noting that even though Tapu Bulu falls short of powerhouses like Kartana and Zarude, it can still be a great option for new players.
