The Dragon-type Titan, Regidrago, is one tough Legendary to take down in Pokemon Go Raid battles, so you must learn its weaknesses and best counters to effectively defeat it before the time runs out.
Regidrago was introduced to the franchise alongside Regieleki in the Sword & Shield DLCs. These Gen 8 Galarian creatures are members of the Legendary Giants – Regice, Regirock, and Registeel – created by the mighty Regigigas.
As such, they are some of the most powerful creatures you can get in Pokemon Go, so it is not a surprise that avid players want to get all of them in their regular and Shiny versions.
So, if you come across one in Niantic’s game, here are its weaknesses and best counters.
Regidrago weaknesses in Pokemon Go
Regidrago is a pure Dragon-type Pokemon, which means it’s weak against Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type attacks. These three types are all equally effective, so you’ve got quite a few Pokemon to choose from to deal super-effective damage.
On the other hand, you’ll want to avoid using Electric, Fire, Grass, and Water-type moves on Regidrago, as it is resistant to them and won’t deal much damage.

We’ve included a mix of Megas, Legendaries, Shadow, and more common Pokemon in the table above, so there should be something for every trainer to use.
If you don’t have any of the creatures mentioned, go with their alternative or regular versions, or just use your best attackers to target Regidrago’s weaknesses. Remember that they should be properly leveled up and know the matching movesets.
How to get Regidrago in Pokemon Go
This powerful Titan doesn’t spawn in the wild or hatch from Eggs, so the only way players can get Regidrago in Pokemon Go is through 5-Star Raid battles. This means trainers will have to challenge and defeat it to attempt a catch with the Premier Balls given after the battle.
Regidrago will appear as a Raid boss on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, as part of the Ancients Recovered event. Then, it will join the rest of the Regis for one final bow on Friday, June 27, 2025.
During its time in the spotlight, Regidrago will know the Fast Move Dragon Breath and the Charged Move Dragon Energy.

Keep in mind that defeating Regieleki won’t be easy, as Legendary Raid Bosses are some of the most difficult opponents you’ll face in the game. Plus, a 100% catch rate is not guaranteed, so be prepared for the case that it might run away.
Remember to use Golden Razz Berries and land Excellent throws and Curve Balls to increase your chances of catching it.
Regidrago CP in Pokemon Go
As with every Raid Boss in the game, the CP Regidrago has during a Raid battle won’t be the same once you manage to catch it after defeating it. Plus, certain types of weather can increase such CP.
Raid Boss CP | 33,052 |
CP range once captured | 1614 – 1699 |
Windy weather CP range | 2017 – 2124 |
Max CP (Level 50) | 3361 |
Regidrago stats & moves
As a pure Dragon-type Pokemon, Regidrago has the following stats:
ATTACK | DEFENSE | STAMINA | CP |
---|---|---|---|
202 | 101 | 400 | 3361 |
Fast Moves
- Bite (Dark)
Charged Moves
- Hyper Beam (Normal)
- Dragon Pulse (Dragon/STAB)
- Outrage (Dragon/STAB)
- Breaking Swipe (Dragon/STAB)
- Dragon Energy (Dragon/STAB/Legacy Move)
Can Regidrago be Shiny?
Yes, Regidrago can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as this special variation debuted at the start of the Max Out Finale event on November 27, 2024.

Unfortunately – and similar to Shiny Regieleki – Shiny Regidrago is a disappointment. The only difference between the special variation and its regular form is that its arms’ colors change from gray to steel blue. This also makes spotting one very hard, so pay close attention to every Regidrago you come across.
Remember that the odds of finding a Shiny Pokemon in general are very low, and there’s no technique to ensure you’ll find one. All you can do is take on as many 5-Star Raids as you can and hope for the best.
