The pure Electric-type Mega Manetric is a Pokemon most players should have on their team due to its type, strong move pool, and power. So if you’re still looking for one in Niantic’s game, here’s exactly how to take it down.
Mega Manectric weaknesses in Pokemon Go
As mentioned above, the mighty Mega Manectric is a pure Electric-type creature, which means it’s only weak against Ground-type moves. Luckily, some of the toughest fighters in the game’s meta boast the Ground type, so players should have an easy time building a solid team.
While you might want to use only Ground types to take it down quickly, you must avoid using any Electric, Flying, or Steel Pokemon, as they won’t deal much damage to your opponent.

How to get Mega Manectric in Pokemon Go
The mighty Mega Manectric will appear as a boss in Mega Raids from June 14, 2025, until June 23, 2025, when it will be replaced by Mega Beedrill.
However, as with any other Mega Evolution, you cannot catch Mega Manectric in its Mega Evolved form. Instead, you’ll have to defeat it for a chance to catch its regular form with the Premier Balls you are given once the encounter is over.
Once you have one, you can stock up on Mega Energy to temporarily Mega Evolve your strongest standard Manectric.
How to evolve Manectric into Mega Manectric
As mentioned above, when a trainer defeats and catches a Mega Evolved Pokemon, it returns to its regular form. This means that every time they want to trigger a Mega Evolution, they must use Mega Energy.
The first time you Mega Evolve Manectric into Mega Manectric, you’ll require 100 Mega Energy. Afterwards, the triggering cost will drop to 20, 10, and eventually 5.

Players can gather Mega Energy by constantly defeating Mega Evolved Pokemon in Mega Raids. Additionally, they can earn some more by completing Field Research Tasks and by setting their Pokemon (in this case, Manectric) as their Buddy and going out for a walk.
It’s worth noting that for Manectric to be able to collect Mega Energy while walking around, it must have been Mega Evolved at least once before.

Can Mega Manectric be Shiny?
Yes, Mega Manectric can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as this variation was added to the game on the same day the Pokemon debuted.
