The adorable Bug/Fairy-type Cutiefly first appeared in the Alola region in Pokemon Sun & Moon on the Nintendo 3DS. Known in the Pokedex as the Bee Fly Pokemon, it eventually evolves into Ribombee.

How to get Cutiefly in Pokemon Go
There used to be plenty of ways to get Cutiefly in Pokemon Go. However, currently, it can only be found as a wild encounter.
Nonetheless, its evolution, Ribombee, is being featured as a Tier 3 Raid boss right now.
Previously, players could get Cutiefly from 2km, 5km, and 7km Eggs, as a reward from Field/Special/Timed Research, and even as a Tier 1 Raid boss.
Remener to use Incense to boost the amount of Pokemon that spawn at your location or check the Nearby feature to see if a Cutiefly has appeared at a nearby landmark.
How to evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee in Pokemon Go
Cutiefly is part of a two-member family, which means it only has one evolution. Luckily for trainers, the process is very straightforward, as it doesn’t require any special items or requirements, just Candy.
To evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee, players will need to collect 50 Candy.
DEXERTOIf you’re struggling to get enough, remember to use Pinap Berries when catching Cutiefly to increase the Candy amount you receive per catch. Then, transfer the Cutiefly you don’t need to Professor Willow for some more.

Can Cutiefly be Shiny?
Yes, Cutiefly can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as this special version was released at the start of the Dazzling Dream event in January 2024.
Shiny hunters searching for Shiny Cutiefly might have a hard time spotting one, as this bug’s regular yellow head turns pale pink, but the tones are very subtle, and the Pokemon is extremely small.
Subsequently, those who evolve a Shiny Cutiefly into a Shiny Ribombee will obtain a pale pink bug. However, the details are a little more noticeable, as the Pokemon’s head and body change color. Moreover, its wings go from white to pink, and the scarf on its neck goes from brown to red.
It’s worth noting, though, that the odds of finding a Shiny Pokemon are very low, as there’s no special technique or method to secure an encounter.
