Reshiram is part of the Tao Trio alongside Zekrom and Kyurem. These Legendary Pokemon were introduced in Gen 5 as part of the Unova Pokedex back in 2011 and made their Go debut in 2020.
Now that the Dual Destiny season is about to end and the Unova region is being celebrated in this year’s Go Tour, Reshiram is coming back to Niantic’s mobile game.
Best moveset for PvP
The best moveset players can pick for Reshiram in PvP consists of Dragon Breath as the Fast Move and Fusion Flare as the Charged Move.
Even though both Fast Moves are great options, Fire Fang is better for Steel-type opponents, while Dragon Breath is preferred for its coverage, STAB, and decent energy generation.
Fusion Flare is Reshiram‘s signature move, and as such it’s extremely powerful. Luckily for players, it also happens to be one of the cheapest attacks in the Legendary’s move pool.
With one Dragon and one Fire move, you get incredible STAB. Plus, that leaves the secondary Charged Move options open. Draco Meteor, Overheat, and Stone Edge are all good moves and will ultimately depend on your opponent’s typing.

Reshiram’s best moveset for Raid battles is Fire Fang as the Fast Move and Fusion Flare as the Charged Move.
As mentioned before, Fusion Flare is this Legendary’s signature move and its best attack overall, turning it into an unmatched Fire Attacker.
With Fusion Flare as the Charged Move, it’s set to say you’ll have to pair it with a Fire Fast Move and the only option available is Fire Fang, which also happens to be the strongest choice out of both of them.
