Merchants are a vital part of Palworld‘s economy, giving players the chance to trade everything from rare Pals to essential items. So, whether you’re stocking up or cashing in, you must know the NPCs’ locations.
Buying and selling is a huge part of the Palworld grind, and Merchants make it easy to snag crafting materials, building supplies, and gear upgrades. But it’s not just about spending, as they also offer a centralized way to sell off extra loot, helping you build up your fortune.
With multiple vendors spread across the map, there’s no shortage of places to spend (or earn) your Gold in the game. So, to help out, we’ve gathered all their locations here.
All Merchant locations in Palworld
Both Wandering Merchants and Pal Merchants can be found all across Palworld’s main map (aka Palpagos Island). However, Feybreak Island and the six islands added with the Terraria crossover – Tides of Terraria – have no merchants, as shown below.
Contrary to their name, most Wandering Merchants do not move and instead stick to static spawn locations, making them easy to find. Equally, both Pal Merchants and Black Marketeers always spawn and stay in the same area.
For most players, the quickest approach to locate a merchant in Palword is to head to the Small Settlement at coordinates: -76, 488. This is close to Palworld’s Plateau of Beginnings, making it accessible even for early on.
All items available at Merchants
Both Pal Merchants and Black Marketeers strictly buy and sell Pals, with their stocks refreshing regularly with random Pals. It’s even possible to catch a Black Marketeer and place them in your base to have a Pal Merchant that’s easy to access.
However, if you’re instead wondering about the items regular Wandering Merchants sell, here’s a complete list of all items available from both in Palworld:

All Merchant types in Palworld
There are five types of Merchants in Palworld: Pal Merchants, two different Wandering Merchants, Black Marketeers, and Medal Merchants. Each of these fulfills a unique role and should be used to get the most value out of your goods.
Pal Merchant
These types of Merchants sell or buy a variety of Pals, and can be easily spotted thanks to their blue coats. Their stock tends to be more basic, with Pals that are easy or not so hard to find around the map, and their levels are usually low.
Pal Merchants can always be found near Wandering Merchants around the villages or settlements.
Wandering Merchant
The Wandering Merchants only sell or buy essential items. There are two types, the Wandering Merchant with the red coat and the other with a green coat. The first one sells more basic resources like seeds, organs, leather, wool, and a lot of useless schematics. The second one has some more interesting stuff, but mainly weapons and ammunition.
They can be found near Pal Merchants around villages or settlements.

Black Marketeer
Black Marketeers and Pal Merchants are similar, with both buying and selling Pals, but with the former doing so illegally. This Merchant has a better selection of Pals, as most of them have lower spawn rates in the game, and they all have higher levels, but of course, they are pricey. Also, you can sell Humans to Black Marketeers.
Black Marketeers tend to hide in faraway parts of the map or caves, as their business is illegal.
Medal Merchant
Palworld’s Sakurajima update introduced not only a whole bunch of new Pals to the game but also another type of merchant called the Medal Merchant. This seller offers exclusive items; however, unlike its colleagues, it doesn’t take Gold for its items but Dog Coins.
Medal Merchants can be hard to find, as they will never approach your base, and their appearances are quite random. The almost certain way to find them will be to walk around desolated areas with church or building ruins or near Satues of Power.
Some Medal Merchants can be found in the Desolate Church or the Marsh Island Church.
That’s all there is about Merchants in Palworld. Make sure you’re up to date with the Breeding System, and learn how to get useful resources such as Plasteel or Crude Oil.
