The Perks for the next Overwatch 2 hero, Wuyang, have leaked ahead of his free trial period in August.

Overwatch hero 44, Wuyang, is set to release in Season 18 with a preview period scheduled from August 14–18.

Not much is known about the Chinese support so far, but Blizzard has hyped him up in their latest blog post, stating: “His fluid healing, hybrid damage utility, and graceful mobility make for Support done differently. Expect a learning curve with some serious splash potential.”

And, ahead of his upcoming hero trial, his Perks have been revealed.

Wuyang’s Overwatch 2 Perks leaked

Wuyang’s entire list of abilities and Perks has been released ahead of launch. Though we don’t have damage numbers, it’s pretty clear from just his abilities that he’s on the aggressive side. People who love Lucio’s movement will have a lot to look forward to.

Weapons

  • Primary: Xuanwu Staff
    • Fire a damaging water orb. Hold to control its trajectory and empower its explosion.
  • Secondary: Restorative Stream
    • Place a passive healing stream on an ally. Hold on the target to manually heal at an improved rate, consuming resource.

Abilities

Guardian Wave

  • Send a water wave forward that increases the amount of healing received by allies and knocks back enemies

Tidal Blast

  • Ride water to move faster and jump higher.

Tidal Blast (Ultimate)

  • Protect an ally or yourself with water that detonates after a short duration. The explosion knocks down enemies and massively heals the host target.

Perks

Minor Perks

  • Overflow
    • Gain 10 ammo and 33% healing resource when Rushing Torrent is activated
  • Balance
    • When you deal damage with water orbs, increase Restorative Stream’s passive healing by 40% for 2 seconds.

Major Perks

  • Ebb and Flow
    • Guardian Wave rewinds to its starting location. Deals 50% decreased damage while rewinding.
  • Falling Rain
    • Simultaneously control 3 water orbs that deal 60% decreased damage and have 25% decreased empowered explosion radius.

Based on this info, players have made some observations. For one, it appears that the support will have a healing resource meter similar to Moira in the form of Restorative Stream.

His primary fire appears to be water orbs. We don’t know exactly how these will function, but based on Overflow’s description, expect the ammo count to be at least 10.

We’ll have to see exactly how the new hero will function when he’s officially unveiled, but, with this small announcement, OW2 players are growing increasingly excited to get their hands on him and try out his aqua abilities for themselves.
