One of Overwatch 2’s most popular tanks has a Perk with a secret buff that gives him the ability to instantly eliminate opposing heroes.

Overwatch 2’s Perks feature has breathed new life into Blizzard’s hero shooter by giving its characters an assortment of new abilities that level up through the match’s progression.

The feature has essentially completely changed the way Overwatch is played, with players now needing to use strategy to decide which Perks they use throughout a game.

While some are much better than others and some even arguably make some heroes weaker than before, one of Sigma’s Perks has a secret buff that makes it even stronger than it seems on paper, allowing the Talon Tank to easily kill targets.

“Slept-on” Sigma Perk gives him back a one-shot combo

Sigma’s Major Perk ‘Hyper Strike’ is unique in which for every five direct hits with his Hyperspheres, a quick melee will make an enemy levitate and knock them away.

While this may seem like an average Perk on paper, the Perk also actually gives a damage buff to his Melee attack.

Instead of just doing 40 damage, a Melee will deal 90, allowing Sigma to score eliminations with an easy combo.

As shown by a user on Reddit, you can eliminate a Mei by hitting her with two Hyperspheres, performing a Melee and following up with two more Hyperspheres.

If all these abilities connect, you’ll be dealing 310 damage in under three seconds – enough to kill a majority of the cast.

The CC of the Hyper Strike Perk also makes it much easier to confirm those last two shots, so your foes will be sitting ducks if they don’t have a teammate helping them or a tool to get out of the predicament.

Users were impressed by the capabilities of this combo and couldn’t wait to give it a try themselves.

“This perk is massively slept on and really good for brawl Sigma,” one said.

“I genuinely think this is one of the strongest perks by far and expect it to be one of the first to be nerfed once people catch onto that,” another feared.

As players continue to navigate this wild new world of Perks, Sigma’s should be one to keep an eye on, especially if your opponents don’t know about this crazy combo.
