MLB The Show 25 legends trailer leaves out a few new players

Ted Williams swing in MLB The Show 25

San Diego Studio finally announced the new roster of legends coming to MLB The Show 25, but content creators pointed out that there is one more surprise.

MLB The Show 25 Diamond Dynasty features well over 200 legends, and this year, Ted Williams, Manny Ramirez, and Roger Clemens highlight a star-studded new cast. The devs announced 24 new legends coming to the game this year.

Even though the game already features so many iconic figures, a few notable names are still missing. Players hold on to a sliver of hope that Barry Bonds, Ichiro, and Alex Rodriguez, among others, will be announced every year.

San Diego Studio didn’t show any of these legends in the initial reveal trailer, but one legend, if not more, is still yet to be announced and will be included at launch.

MLB The Show streamer DaddyDimmu revealed, “Oh… I just realized ‘REDACTED’ wasn’t in the legends trailer. Funny cuz I remember playing with him…. Hmmmm. Interesting.”

However, fellow content creator YourFriendKyle shared bad news for players hoping it would be Barry Bonds.

“It’s wild how many people got their own hopes up that Barry Bonds would be in the game,” YourFriendKyle said. “If you see all the positive changes this game has already made content wise & you’re still willing to complain pre-release, you shouldn’t be allowed to play it.”

DaddyDimmu wouldn’t outright deny that it’s Alex Rodriguez but did say, “Pretty sure arod would get a legend cover and not be revealed just a few days before the game released.”
