Marvel Rivals players frustrated as free skin promo ends in disaster

Marvel Rivals players who purchased tickets for the Regal Cinemas promotion still don’t know when they’ll get the promised redeemable codes.

Weeks before Captain America: Brave New World hit theaters, moviegoers were encouraged to buy tickets through Regal Cinemas to receive in-game content for Marvel Rivals.

Regal Crown Club members who ordered tickets through their account before February 17 were told they’d gain access to a bundle that included a spray, nameplate, and mystery costume.

According to official details, participants will receive a promo code via email that must be redeemed by February 28 at 11:59 PM ET. That deadline’s approaching but Regal has yet to send out codes to waiting customers.

Since Regal’s original announcement said codes would be delivered within 48 hours of the promotion period ending, Marvel Rivals players assumed they would’ve received their email codes by now.

One thread in the game’s official subreddit is filled with people saying they have not heard a peep from Regal. While some fans reached out to the theater chain via social media DMs, the responses have only left them more confused.

Twitter/X user JayShockblast shared a screenshot of their exchange with a customer service representative who wrote, “…We do not know specifically when they will be available, but rest assured – eligible guests will receive their code via email soon.”

On Reddit, someone else shared a different reply from a Customer Relations Team member. The message reads in part, “please be informed that we are yet to receive the redeemable digital codes from Disney…”

It’s unclear when Marvel Rivals fans can expect to receive the missing codes. But with the redemption period drawing to a close, Regal should have news to share sooner rather than later.

Another mystery clouding the promotion is which character will receive a costume in the bundle. Many assumed it would be Red Hulk, yet developers have already confirmed the costume is one that currently exists in-game.
