Marvel Rivals heroes with highest win rate revealed: Best Duelists, Strategists, & Vanguards
Marvel GamesMarvel Rivals developers have released both pick and win rates across all three roles and the data reveals the very best heroes leading each category.
Marvel Rivals came out of the gate with a bang, attracting tens of millions of players in the opening weeks. Naturally, it wasn’t long before an initial meta took hold. Since then, we’ve seen all sorts of balance adjustments, new hero arrivals, and plenty more to shake things up.
While we have our own tier list ranking the effectiveness of every hero as they stand today, official pick and win rate data has now been revealed. Straight from the horse’s mouth, we can see exactly which heroes are winning the most games.
Below is a comprehensive breakdown of Marvel Rivals win rates as of July 4, 2025, along with an analysis for each role.

Top Marvel Rivals picks with highest Win Rates
Duelist
Just before Season 3 gets underway, there are eight Duelists with a win rate above 50%. Magik and Black Panther top the list with barely a difference between them, then we see a slight drop before Storm joins them in third place. Beyond that, a newer arrival like Mister Fantastic has cemented a spot among the very best picks, while names like Spider-Man and Wolverine continue their dominance from earlier seasons.
Notably, among the very best Duelists, at least statistically speaking, Iron Man has the highest pick rate, proving to be not only effective in ranked, but also extremely popular. On the other hand, Storm has the lowest pick rate among the winningest heroes at just 3.16%, making her the fifth least-picked Duelist overall.
Strategist
With just nine Strategists on the roster at the time of writing, there’s very little separating the performance of these characters in Ranked play. Ultron sits at the top of the list while Luna Snow finds herself at the very bottom, though only roughly 10% separates their win rates.
In terms of the raw data, your odds of winning increase when playing as Ultron, Rocket Raccoon, Mantis, or Loki. Everyone else falls below the 50% mark, making most games a bit of a coin flip on paper.
Vanguard
Rounding out the roles is Vanguard, with Peni Parker, Hulk, and Captain America leading as the three most successful heroes in their category ahead of Season 3. Of note here, Peni Parker soars well ahead of even Hulk in second place with a whopping 55.89% win rate, the third highest of any character in Marvel Rivals today.
In comparison, Venom finds himself at the very bottom of the list in Competitive play. This character has languished since the early days of Marvel Rivals, but perhaps it’s only a matter of time before a buff changes that.
